Pekar was a great pick. I think we'll see him in a Sabres uniform some day.

I haven't seen him play, so, being uninformed, I don't feel qualified to offer any opinion.

do you need to know how the magician does his magic trick before you can enjoy it?

Great content Michael!

As much as I like reading this blog for the hilariously degenerate comment arguments over whether Girgensons or whoever should be traded for pucks & pylons or just run out of town in a Dodge Neon, this is great stuff for the heat of August.

Keep up the good work. Hopefully someone pays you for your work someday because you're becoming one of the best voices in Sabres' media-land, I think.

No. And I will enjoy watching Pekar play when I get around to it. But without seeing him, I won't tell you whether I think he should play, or sit, or develop, or start.

Don’t know a lot about the nfl process, but can someone tell me why Mack is holding out one the last year of his contract, instead of just reporting from the start and cashing in on free agency next year.

Read on nfl.com he’s already lost 1.6 million for missing two preseason games, doesn’t seem to make any sense, doesn’t seem like he wants to be there so just play out the year and make your money in fa next season.

Winners
Josh Allen: Though many considered him to be the least pro-ready of the elite quarterbacks in the draft, Allen might be the one making the strongest case to start. In Friday’s 19-17 victory against the Browns, Allen led the Bills on scoring drives on each of the three series he played, going nine of 13 for 60 yards and one score. Most impressive was that Allen showed pocket awareness and poise, and kept his eyes shifting through his progressions when defenders charged toward him.

I don't question his play thus far, but I do question the offensive line and whether it's worth him taking a ton of hits this season while that sieve is still a work in progress with a long way to go

the funny thing, allen looks the best of the 3 qb's when the o line breaks down, esp in game 2

am of the opinion that journeymen qb's are brought on to take that beating thus saving the future qb...

I always keep going back to tim couch---6'4"225 lbs, top-overall pick...got his ass whooped because they played him behind a very weak o-line
