Awful for Sekera, but not the end of the world for the team. Any reasonable expectations had him on the 3rd pairing anyway and now his cap hit will be off the books and possibly good for a Robidas-like LTIR. Might give more leverage to Nurse in negotiations but we'll have more space to work with so it balances out.

Looking forward to seeing how the youth comes to camp and what kind of acquisition might be on the horizon. A guy like Schlemko could be a smart choice.
