Somebody will complain that Phat Phil is ahead of Girouxlette and Bergerat.

You heard it here first.

This draft really stinks after the top 5 in re-draft.

Little has been a very under-rated center and very consistent over his career. He has accepted his role as a solid 2/3 center and does the little things that are needed to make the team successful. However the Jets signed him to a yearly $5.3 mil contract that expires at the end of the 2023/24 season which is way too long a term for a 30 year old. If he stays healthy he could be an effective 3rd line center for a 2/3 more seasons, but the Jets may have trouble trading him with this contract. If they don't move him in the next couple of years they may have to eat his contract. Sometimes Chevy is too loyal which could cause cap problems in the near future..

I’m definitely bumping Toews down to the middle of that list.

Kessel over Giroux and Marchand

Brassard over Erik Johnson he might not have been worthy of his draft position but he is a top pairing defenseman give me a break

Ughg

No Kessel, no back to back cups.

Highest scoring playoff performer over those two years and very much deservedly in the Conn Smythe talks for 2016's cup.

92 points last season.

Totally overrated. You nailed it. Not even your "heard it here first" is correct....we've heard it before.

Certainly would of been different but absolutely impossible to know if each franchise would of still had 3 cups, less or more since he was drafted. Staal was a huge part of 2009 but they probably wouldn't of been able to keep Toews either.

EDIT: I feel like the Hawks probably wouldn't have 3 cups had Pitts took him but again impossible to know for sure.

I've wondered that myself. Toews was a hell of a player and it would have been interesting to see who Shero would have traded. I'm not 100% sure Ray would have kept Malkin over JT.

My guess is the same. Chemistry aside, Pens probably would have still won the cup having a 3C of his caliber and likely had to move him.

Excuse me, didn't you see the completely arbitrary sort-of-but-not-really top 100 players in hockey history list?

I'd put Giroux 3rd on the list for doing what he's done with the cast he's given, and for basically willing the team to the playoffs last year, but I'm not going to get all up in arms about it.

Yeah Marchand was a clown early in his career, but he also didn't get much PP time at all and wasn't given a lot of minutes in general compared to guys like Kessel.
