Gotta say, I'm surprised, thought for sure he'd put in another year of college. Puts a lot of pressure on himself, but he seems to have the kind of attitude that would rise above adversity and demand more from himself and teammates.

Silences the trolls who said he'd spend all his years in college and ditch the Sens. Then again, they're trolls.

Every little bit helps to try and not give the Avs hughes...but still those 1 year contracts are scary

Stone's contract certainly is, he would appear to be in "wait and see" mindset.

Ceci's contract on the other hand, may be a case of the team thinking the same thing.

Goaltending and coaching are the biggest on-ice issues headng into the season. At least Boucher can't overuse Oduya anymore.

I think Melnpoop will want to suck out as much as he can out of them to get higher in the standings, then deal them all at the TDL.

You’ll get an impressive haul for Stone that’s for sure

Gotta say, it was nice to read an article on Melnyk yesterday where he wasn't griping for once (about the Lebreton development or the ticket sales). But I think everyone knows whatever he said was highly scripted. Still, better than his usual crap.

That and he would risk signing a second big contract throughout his career if he were to stay another 3 years in college. I'm sure that might have been something to do with it as well. Money talks.

Yep, that guy needs to go.

From an outsider looking in I think they need a fresh start.

Trade everyone you can for prospects and young controlled players. If it wasn’t for the Avs pick I’m sure they would have already.

I agree with the comments suggesting that it was a relief to see Melnyk doing something other than whining. Even if he was scripted it means that somebody (perhaps one of the developers) is starting to dictate how public outreach is handled.

I do not think a Matthew Tkachuck for Karlsson trade has any merit.

I am glad Tkachuck signed an entry level deal.

People forget he is just a few day younger than Formenton.

Formenton will play with the Sens this year. Not sure where Tkachuck fits.

Tkachuck electing to leave Boston doesn't mean all the much. Can either play for the Sens, baby Sens, or London. Not sure where he will end up, but I think London probably makes the most sense.
