"All due respect to Dvorak, he's getting paid future money on future production"

Isn't this what the Sabres did with Jack??

Yes

and besides, it is paying a premium for PAST production that is the problem.

Now whether or not the GM guessed right in this case only time will tell.

Is it just me or does Garth want to see all the Sabres get overpaid? It’s almost like the salary justifies him making a mess of himself over these players.

Reinhart will get paid 6m plus. The Sabres always seem to overpay. The kid had a good half season, loading up on PP points. Came up small when the season mattered.

As someone else said, Garth does seem to want Sabres to get overpaid. I think he sees it as justification for pumping their tires all the time. The Sabres paid Eichel 10m a year when he had no arbitration right nor did his numbers back it up. Now he’s taking a shot at the coyotes for overpaying. Classic

Do you get paid extra every time you type "Desert Dogs"? If not please stop because it sounds dumb and no one calls them that. Also posting tweets from your own twitter as if it were an actual source is just silly. That is a treasure trove of free advice for you Garf. You're welcome...

So is he a two way center or a winger?

If the Sabres pay Reinhart that much then all of us Sabres fans might as well stop watching. Reinhart still has to show us that he can play a consistent full season, create points by his own initiative and at least win some one on one battles along the boards.

I see you are a Leafs fan, what do you think about the Sens just destroying their team and yet do not possess their own first rounder?

Larkin just signed 6.1 million per yr for 5 years. So ball is back in Sabres and Leafs court.

He’s between a rock and a hard place. Either he tanks now and Colorado gets a sweet pick, or he tries to win this season only to lose Ek, Duchene and Stone for nothing. His cardinal error was keeping the 1st this past draft, but aside from that, what can he do?
He’s in a lose-lose situation now, not helped by the pooptiest owner in pro sports. Still....hard to say he’s any worse than Tim Murray or Peter Chiarelli.
