No we don't need him.
And I know it's slow this time of the year for things to blog about and you're still looking for your daily $100 but damn stop blogging about the same things over and over again. |

Faulk is in no way a replacement for Gardiner, not even close.

Wrong way to go with Faulk. He cost more than other Leaf youngsters, but is not much help except on offense. He's a bit of an upgrade on Connor Carrick, but I don't think he'd be a lot of help in the playoffs. If you are going to move assets to get an NHL contract, get somebody who'd make top 4 on Carolina's offense or improve Toronto's top 4. Don't spend $4M to upgrade your 3rd pair. |

Good deal for the Sens, he is worth a lot more. Hopefully they can lock him up for a long time to be the Sens #1 D when they trade Karlsson

The biggest mistake of the Lou era was not trading JVR and Bozak for assets!
Truth bomb
Also, as the days go by Ottawa is becoming even more of a tire fire if that is even possible! bahaha! |

You speak the truth
Totally baseless rumour made up for hits. Leafs might as well resign Jeff Finger

No on Faulk. Would not trade any of our forward prospects for what is a 5/6 D on another team. |

I for one am glad he is gone. Just for the facial hair alone...
Losing Bozak for nothing was not a big deal, but losing JVR for zip sucks. In this era of the NHL asset management is key. We will soon have star players on massive contracts and it is absolutely essential that we replenish the ranks with younger prospects and draft picks to stay competitive. We cannot rely on free agency |

Getting cap space by letting JVR go and signing JT was payment enough. The whole point of keeping JVR was because the Leafs thought they may go past round 1, why bother trading him? As well, I don't see the Leafs trading their picks randomly for old scrubs; they may have tossed a couple 2nds for some vets to try their luck in the playoffs, but they haven't been selling off any picks, prospects or young assets otherwise... |

I'm sure that wasn't entirely Lou's decision, so you can't blame him. Even he has people to report to, people that tell him what they expect him to do. It was probably a business decision to keep Bozak and JVR so his hands would have been tied. |
