Oh Garth, its so quaint to see you waxing so poetically about Risto...
I'm just hoping the extra workouts this summer produce more strength to actually clear the front of the net this year.
Oh and by the way, Risto will be a much better defenseman if he can shave up to 2 minutes off his TOI this year. He is not built for 26 - 30 minutes of ice time. that is perhaps the biggest reason his defensive zone was bad and he wasn't doing well on his assignments... he was dog-tired all the time.
A healthy Bogo could help, a better Guhle could help, a non-turnover machine Scandella could help, and of course a decent (not even asking for really good yet because he's a rookie) Dahlin will help.
Our defense needs to get better by committee not just by a couple individuals. I am encouraged by the apparent hard work Risto is putting in. The fairy tale exit interview you described sounds like its the result of a week up in Canada with legalized pot.
But good for you Garth |

GARTH'S CORNER: Twisted Rister - garth
Ristolainen: (Staring directly into Botterill's soul, stiff upper lip)
"This. Is. MY. Team. I'm sick of the losing and the excuse making! I hate losing more than anything in the world. It makes me sick to my stomach. I'm a winner and I will continue to bust my ass for my teammates, my GM, my coaches, and my owners. You want better quality work from me? Fine. I'll see you in September".
This is some of the most rediculous pieces of fan fiction I ever read. I pissed myself laughing at this malarkey. |

This was unusually realistic and well thought out for a Sabres fan. Nice to see someone from that fan base raise the standards a bit. Well done. |

Actually yes he is. He finally had a decent partner last season and did pretty well. If he’s paired with Dahlin there’s no chance in hell for the opposition.
Ristolainen was able to heighten his game last season on an even worse team and PP. He came shy of his career high in points by only 4 points while playing in 6 less games with an anemic offense and a terrible PP. With a good offense and top end partner he can get between 50-65 points in a season. |

Usually good for a few laughs. But this site is definitely no way a legitimate hockey site. Most of the rumours that are on Hockeybuzz are from Eklund and others seeing if it works on NHL ‘18.
When there is a legitimate rumour then they have just reported what LeBrun etc have reported |

65 points in a season?
Wanna bet that doesn’t happen? |
