Took him almost 2 weeks to write that? What a weak thank you that was
He must have celebrated for those 12 days till he realized "oh poop, i should probably write a thank you tweet". |

Please Please stop with the premium pieces already. Just for starters a 2nd round pick in 2021 is not premium. I heard a GM say that for every year a draft pick is pushed back it loses 1 round in value. Why because it is one less year a team has to develop the talent. So in that logic a 2021 2nd round pick turns into what would have been 5th round pick in 2019. Heck the other 2 premium pieces might not even be on the team before they make the playoffs. So please stop with the premium pieces. |

Have to say premium pieces since you didn't get the treasure trove from the Kane deal. |

A third rounder in 2073 for "Eich9er"? Decent haul by Garth's standards. Botterill is using a Game Genie to defeat this NHL. |

Tage Thompson is not an A+ prospect. He's good, no doubt, but he was clearly the fourth best blues prospect and probably fifth after this year's draft, and his ceiling is likely that of a second line winger. Its very likely that 1st is a late first. The second is three years away, and the roster players are not great players. 5 premium assets is a laughable way to assess the return when it's likely not a single asset is premium |

Tage Thompson is not an A level prospect. It would be great to see him reach such a height, but it is unlikely to occur. I would grade him as maybe a B-level prospect, because you are getting a player who should be playing in the NHL. On the other hand, Thompson is most likely a third liner and nothing much better than that; consistency issues.

Bro, save your energy. It's maddening beyond belief, but that clown isn't going listen, or change.
I'm starting to believe he does this on purpose; mainly because for as dumb as he is, he has to know his material isn't good enough on it's own, so he has to use a gimmick to get people to read -- his gimmick being to purposely make grammar/spelling errors, and saying stupid $hit to piss us off.
Don't forget, this is hockey buzz:. The place where the bottom-feeders of the writing world go because there is no standard, and they can write whatever garbage that comes in to their minds, without anyone holding them accountable. |

Just a quick journalism note: Thompson is not an A+ prospect. He was probably the Blues fifth, maybe sixth, most promising prospect at best. And those are not premium assets. Armstrong managed to grab ROR, dump two bad contracts, and let go of a destined to be third liner in St. Louis; all while keeping Husso, Thomas, Kyrou, Kostin, and Foley. |

The roster players give us depth which is desperately needed. We can now develop a couple players in he AHL rather than force them into NHL roles they are not ready for. |

Agreed, I’ll give a 3rd and 4th in 19 for a 1st any year. Stupid analogy |

I was hoping for Kyrou but I think this statement overvalued ROR worth. I still like the deal. No other team is offering 1/2 this |

I think it was good for both teams. The Blues had to get rid of those two contracts to get any depth at center, and I know you guys really wanted out of ROR’s contract. The Blues usually end up getting their picks back somehow so that was a non-issue for me. And I don’t mean to dog on Thompson. I think he’ll be productive in the NHL, but if the Blues were getting rid of any prospect of value, Thompson was the best scenario. |

Huh? This was an excellent trade for St.Louis. RoR is far and away the best player in the trade, Berglund is at best a productive 3rd liner and Sobotka was a pure salary dump.
For a 3rd and fourth line couple of centres it’s ok for Buffalo, but only because they have the cap space to ride out these deals.basically, in the long term, they traded RoR for Tage And some later picks.
This trade does nothing to improve the Sabres core going forward. |

Oh Garf just give up. For a team that has been in the gutter since Ryan Miller left you can't say they won every trade and every player that is coming back is a stud. On the bright side you and your Twitter handle are always good for a laugh... |

GMTM always gets his man.
... except when he doesn't and throws away a 3rd round pick for nothing. |

Stop calling everything a "premium Piece".
Berglund, Sobotka, and a 2nd round pick are not "Premium Pieces" |
