Vegas Made Last Pitch for Karlsson?

Hearing that may be the monkey wrench right now...A Source tells me he still expects the Tampa deal to get done however...not everyone is happy with the deal. The Sens still want Bobby Ryan included, The Rangers want way more than Callahan, and yes, Kucherov movement has been discussed as well. Kucherov may not be moved right away, but the lines of communication are wide open for when the Bolts have to make more space.

I am also hearing from sources that the deal is not done and it's because one of the teams is not happy with the deal. My sources say that the deal involves Karlsson and players form the other teams. Sticking point is definitely the details of the offer.

E5 that this goes down before or after tomorrow and that the team is TB.

If not TB then Dallas, Vegas or another NHL team.

Yeah, right. Tampa will gladly trade you a Kucherov on Tuesday for a Karlsson today.

I would love it if he came out here! You watch, Bobby Ryan becomes a Knight and scores 40 goals.

Why does Kucherov's name surface? What is it that the Rangers have that would cause Tampa to be open to moving one of the best offensive talents in the league? Or, is there something missing in this story that we are not being told?

Kucherov has to be re-signed in 19-20, so the assumption is that TB will be sufficiently cap-strapped that he will be the one to go. Poor assumption.

I'm just going to assume that every team in the NHL is getting Erik Karlsson on a rotating basis this season.[/img]

His name hasn't surfaced. It's just Ek pulling things out of air. The Lighting will be able to fit Karlsson this season will little issue. The issues because next year when a new contract for both Karlsson and Kucherov will need to be signed, as well as Point needed one as well. Eklund is jumping the gun, they will not have issues until next year.

Also cap issue isn't that huge either. They have 11 million coming off the defense so that will cover Karlsson. They will also find a way to trade Miller and Palat before losing Kucherov.

NYR have cap space next year that TB does not. And the Rangers have some attractive pieces, such as Skjei, Lias Anderson, and 2 1st rounders next year.

Ek, just stop. Seriously.

Kucherov and Palat are untouchable. Neither is going anywhere.

The offer I am hearing here is Karlsson to TB for Point, Sergachev and a 2020 1st round pick. Not sure Vegas can top that.
My Guess is Vegas would have to at least offer Karlsson, Miller or Theodore plus a 1st round pick and also be willing to take on both Karlsson and Bobby Ryan. I think that is why the TB trade isn't happening. TB doesn't have or want Ryan's contract.
Dallas won't include Miro Heiskanen so they are out.
People think Edmonton is on Karlsson but that is one of the 10 teams he won't approve a deal to.
My wild card teams would be Minnesota and Philly
Possibly Dumba, Neidereiter and Kunin or a 1st round in 2019
Philly could go Simmonds. Konecki or Provorov and a 1st rounder
