If anyone is looking for a good read on Justin Faulk
Https://www.tsn.ca/talent...is-justin-faulk-1.1123444
“ Faulk’s on-ice save percentage is 90.7. That means that in the minutes Faulk has been on the ice, Carolina is 52 goals worse than league average and 27 goals worse than what Carolina could have reasonably expected with their goaltending talent.
About that 90.7 save percentage: It’s the worst number of any defender in the past six years, true by a considerable margin”
I’ll pass thanks... considering most comments suggest you trade the farm for him.

Kap can't even break the roster hardly. 10 points in 55 games over 3 years. NO thank you. For Faulk + something it would have to be Nylander or Kadri & maybe Sparks - c1rhino
I don't want Faulk at all and Nylander and Kadri both > Faulk. |

Lou has his faults like all GM's. Isles needed someone who could build an organization and has been a proven winner. Isles tried the no experience route with Garth and it did not work out so well. Maybe Fenton or Fitzgerald was the way to go but no guarantees with them either. Hopefully everything works out. - ses111
they will suck for a bit obviously. but lou is there for just a couple of years until chris takes over. remember this is a franchise that pretty much has no official arena splitting dates etc.... sad to see where the isles are at now but at least lou is a pro and will hopefully stablize this franchise. |

If the Leafs are talking, then I doubt they are after Faulk. Would not be shocked to see a major offer for Hamilton though. My best guess, Carolina would have a large interest in Kapanen, Sparks and likely Martin. That haul plus a good pick would make Hamilton a Leaf . Faulk is a good player, but really just a 3-5 guy on the current Leaf's team that needs a 1-2 guy. - doktordave
Lol.. so youre saying the Canes would trade Hannifin and Lindholm for Kapanen, Sparks and Martin?
Do you guys think before you type? |

Ah...another grooming job for Lou then.
That's good for you guys. I think he fits the roll perfectly. As a GM with absolute power, I'm not so certain.
A lot of people are scratching their heads over what he is doing the last few days, but to me it looks a lot like what the Leafs did the first few years under ShannahanLou.
He's getting the mentor sort of veterans to help bring in your young kids. I wouldn't be surprised if NYI had a bit of a fire sale toward the trade deadline, then went young the rest of the year and onward.
