no, not in mind anyways.

When healthy you have a legit NHL D core, and you still dont know what you have in Makar, Timmins, Meloche on the right side yet.

Barrie next offseason I think will be gone, but until then Avs fans should enjoy a D core thats not embarrassing for once

Why would Tyson have to be moved at all?

I dont think he fits into the team long term bc he will be too expensive to keep on a new deal.

Plus with Makar, Timmins, Girard, Zads all 23 and under. That will be the new D core of this team. Barrie at 28 signing a new deal wont make sense so he will be traded at one point

The Avs are looking great heading into the future! Loved their minimal moves this free agency period as they didn't handcuff themselves financially before seeing what the youth movement can provide. You've got a ton of youth that will start to develop and earn a raise as Sakic mentioned and if you don't have room you are playing the constant reshuffle game thru trades and the draft.

The D looks pretty solid heading into next season from my personal ranking:

Johnson, Zadorov, Barrie, Girard, Cole, Nemeth (when resigned), Barberio, Alt, Lindholm

Let Makar and Timmins develop their game in college and juniors before competing with this group for a roster spot.

The offense is a bit of a question mark because you know what to expect from MacKinnon, Landeskog, and Rantanen, but the other young guys in Jost, Andrighetto, Kerfoot, Compher, Kamenev, and company need to show us what they can provide now that they've earned a shot. Kaut may have an outside shot at making this roster, but full minutes with the Eagles may do him some good too.

This team has room to grow, retain, and move to the next level.

It is shocking to me that so little is being covered with the team in Seattle ready to join the league in 20-21'..... they're going to steal away an asset from each team and based on how successful the Golden Knights were GMs better start planning ahead.

Next up on the agenda is locking up our core players like Rantanen and Zadorov before we have to pay astronomical prices. JVR getting $7/mil and Stastny at $6.5/mil is crazy money for what they'll provide...... lock our guys down on a long-term deal before they start asking for Tavares and Doughty $$$

If Philly is shopping Simmonds I would go after him bigtime, providing he would sign an extension here.

big time pass on Simmonds. He would be expensive to trade for and giving a big time extension to a guy who would be 31 by the time it kicks in.

Not a good idea in my opinion, I dont think he fits the avs mold going forward with the speed on this roster. Hell of a player though

Skinner would be the ideal trade and extend target for this team

True, I love his physicality and presence around the net though. Wondering what they would ask? I would love Skinner as well, the only thing that scares me about him is the injury history.

I'm a bit worried about just how much the Blues have powered up, adding Bozak, ROR and Perron. They look a lot scarier now. Hopefully Allen will continue playing like there's monsters out to get him.

I dont think the Blues got that much better. ROR still cant score 5v5 and Bozak needs top minutes to be offensive and now are under a coach in Yao that historically suppresses offence. Berglund outscored ROR 5v5. That PP and offence runs through Tarasenko so those guys probably are going to see a decline in their totals. ROR is the better player, so it will be interesting to see how he does in a reduced roll

On paper they look great and could be a rebound season for them, but it does come down to Allen, if he is his still streaky slightly below average self. The blues will have trouble scoring and winning close games if they cant get it locked down in net.
