I dont mind Wagner but Nordstom is meh. John Moore is a pretty good player. I dont hate it.

Yeah I dont know poop about Nordstrom, but cost half of what Schaller got. I like Wagner too. Can skate and is going to hit everything that moves. Ty seems to think Moore signing is precursor to trading a LHD for Panarin or something like that.

God I hope not too. Especially because people seem to think hes going to get a huge deal, like 6-7 for a bunch of years. Hard pass. Let Vegas give him that

Other than something crazy like signing Tavares or a Panarin trade, there isnt much to do. Couple depth pieces and a backup goalie are all they really needed.

Don't mind any of the signings (so far), and I think John Moore will be a solid Dman for us. Halak is def an improvement over Khudobin.

The tough pill to swallow is that Toronto got better, and Tampa is still elite. Next year we'll finish third in the division, play either Toronto and Tampa and lose in the first round. Unless we make a big trade (would be shocked) for an impact player, then a first round loss is what we're looking at.

Happy for him, he's a solid third line center and worth the money. Instead we get a 6M a year third line center in Backes who has cinder blocks for skates.... however the odds of him playing more than 30 games this year due to injury are slim, so hoping Trent Frederic or Studnicka are able to step up take over that position

Yeah Riley is more effective than Backes at this point. Riley did everything and filled in for Patrice when needed. Sucks he got hurt at the end of the year. He was getting better and better.

Backes contract was so (frank)ing dumb. Everyone saw that except this team's management. I dont get it.

It was Backes or Loui and I’d still rather have Backes.
