John moore isnt a good defenseman. And 5 years is awful term - Codes1087

Beagle as a third line center and Sutter is where he should be as a fourth line center is good, still don't have a second line center though. It'll all work out in the end. Next year is a development year anyways. - LeftCoaster
If Sutter is a fourth line center why does he have interest from 4 other GMs looking for a center? |

I remember Ray Ferraro about a month ago chirping a Canuck fans suggesting Canucks sign Tavares to an 11 mil 7 year contract.
His reply was are you nuts? He said Tavares is good but not thsat good . He said he was worth about 7-8 mil only - VANTEL
Lionel Messi makes 84 million dollars a year in salary, let that sink in for a minute |

If you’re smart, your signing deals that look just as good or better 2 years from now. A lot of these signings all sound great today and eventually become “wtf were they thinking?” after a year or 2
And for the record, I’m fine with 2 out of the 3 signings(Schaller deal seems like it’s still more of a rumour though). - Nucker101
Everything is always justified in the moment.
Don't worry though. Opinions here always change on a dime. The same decisions being justified today will be the reasons why the administration needs to be fired tomorrow.
If you take every position, at some point you'll be right. |

Because he's a good bottom six center, he's defensively responsible and he's great on the PK. Third or fourth line. |

You’re either overrating Beagle or underrating Sutter |

Ferraro has my respect for forming his own opinions and not being afraid to criticize a GM or player(the opposite of Pierre McGuire types) but he does say some stupid things sometimes.
8M for Tavares, even if the cap was at 75M instead of 80M, would be a steal.

It seemed like everyone here agreed that the Canucks should stick to 1-2 year UFA contracts just a week or 2 ago. Things changed quickly.

5 years for a very basic bottom pairing D man. 20 point average is fine, but 2.75m, 5 years. Will be 33 when his deal is done. |
