I dont mind the idea of the wild picking up pateryn. Hes a big body who throws lots of hits and blocks shots. It would be nice to finally have some physicality on the blue line instead of watching out d always getting boxed out in front of dubnyk.

Still fairly disconcerting when a team who needs to make whole sale changes of the roster is not even remotely involved in even a single trade rumor.

Rumors mean nothing. Russo has noted multiple times how Fenton likes to keep things quiet. I dont blame him for waiting for the tavares chaos to end. Once jt is off the market, the trading floodgates will open. Almost all teams league wide are in holding patter. For example, if jt goes to the leafs, theyre going to have to move a young piece or 2. They also still need help on d, and thats where the wild come in. Offer up dumba or spurgeon for some sort of package involving nylander/kapanen. Ill give fenton a full season before i make any judgements. Theres still plenty of time for roster "tweaks"
