If rumor break guy is to be believed, Roussel has a verbal 2yr deal with MTL.

Although I would like to see Krys play all 4 years at BU, he's likely to do the same thing as Hillman and Gilbert and sign with the Hawks after this coming junior year. From there, I'd expect him to spend at least one if not two years in Rockford before getting a call up for a cup of coffee or extended look.
Another possible scenario is that he's used as a trade chip. As others have said before, we're stocked now with defensive prospects so we can afford to flip some of them to fill team needs. I'd think that Jokiharju, Mitchell, and especially Boqvist are off limits (all 3 are righties) but everyone else like Krys and Forsling are fair game. - AEL_Fox
Sounds reasonable that they will move on from some guys because their will be only so many roster spots in the NHL/AHL and only so many minutes to go around for these guys. What do you think about Ryan Shea? I seem to recall (like many young dmen) he needed to focus on some thing in his own end. |

There are eyes everywhere but not everyone cares or gives a hoot. I personally am quick to say I would cast a vote this story is a truism. I also believe Crawford will return to the net. I cannot predict if he will need a year or partial year to get back to his old form. There would be no surprise to me if he is traded at the trade deadline......how much longer does his contract run? I would be emboldened to trade him even on the cheap to LA or Nashville where they need a strong duo, as their current #1 have struggled at times. Winnipeg maybe to start in playogfd if Hellybuck is shaky. Crawford = been there, has the experience. Maybe in places other than on the ice. But hey, if Blackhawks or Crawford deny or are evasive.....
That:s ok with me. I will form my own opinion and wish him well - jhawk59
Umm LA doesn’t need Crawford. That would be terrible.
Teams like Carolina or NYI need him.

Not to believed. He posted, and then deleted, on Saturday that Tavares had signed with NYI. He also said on Sunday that Pacioteretty (spell) had been traded to San Jose.
Most of these guys just throw crap at the wall and hope something sticks. This way they cover all the bases and can say "reported here first"

That is true. Unless the goal is deep rebuild, need a solid goalie until we have another one. |

As long as the half way house allows him out to play..
Sorry had a huge laugh at the stupid post about CC and his supposed dope issue. Q's comments the other day about Crow still did not seem concrete on his health status. We better hope he's ready to go. |

If this was the plan they’d should have started executing it before the draft.
Look so like another long season - Abadseed
Look at the holes in the roster.....1RW, at least 2 QUALITY Top 4 Dmen, possibly a starting goalie, possibly a 2C if you don't trust Schmaltz there, DEFINITELY a backup goalie. Every team has a hole or two but those are MAJOR gaps in talent on this roster, and over $10mil for Seabrook and Murphy is just not a good use of cap space. Same can be said for Anisimov at nearly $5mil playing 3rd line minutes.

I have a strange confidence he will be back, and play well. I don't care to speculate on the why of his departure, but I will say this: If anyone had to play behind that dumpster fire of a "system" last year, any reasonable person would find themselves drinking so much to kill the pain they would need rehab and six months off too..

Just ignore people who talk about unsubstantiated rumors. - L_B_R
In 2007 my then 7-year-old daughter had kidney surgery. As part of the process she ended up with Doctor “A”. Last summer one of my co-worker’s sons, who was in eight grade at the time, also had to undergo kidney surgery. As part of his recovery process he also ended up with Doctor “A”.
Last month I took my daughter for her annual exam with doctor “A”. I mentioned one of my best friends kid was a patient of his too. Doctor “A” looked at me and blankly said “I can’t comment on that.” Several weeks later my friend was in to see him and my friend received the same comment when he mentioned me.
Any medical professional or company that says anything about a person’s health is violating the law. They would be crazy to put something out there, true or not.
Anything anyone other that Crawford says about Crawford is pure speculation and b.s.

St Louis Blues in 1968-69 season had 2 HOF goalies in Glenn Hall / Jacques Plante--
But that wasn't initial roster on inaugural season 67-68 |

Don't know a whole lot about Shea but from the little I do know he is likely to be a defensive defenseman with little offense at the pro level similar to Hillman and Gilbert. Top out at 3rd pair or as the 7th man, if he ever makes it to the NHL. If 1-2 of Hillman, Gilbert, and Shea could end up being minute munchers who play reliable defense and don't hurt you on the ice, then that would be nice.
I believe Mark Eaton is Director of Player Development and he visited Sikura a lot at Northeastern to monitor his progress, give him pointers on things to work on, etc. so I imagine Eaton also spoke with and observed Shea during those trips. |

I'm curious...what year did Anisimov ever only play third line minutes?
He seems to always be in top 4-5 minutes, play PP, PK and ES. Doesnt seem like 3rd line minutes, IMO, but facts can be wrong, I suppose |

The smart thing to do would be to do whatever is necessary (minus trading A level prospects) to move Crawford, Seabrook and Anisimov and tank again for a top 5 pick. This team is so far away from Cup contention when compared to every other team above them in the West, it's nothing more than a fanboys dream to think they have a shot in the Central Division this year with some minor tinkering. Hawks need to tank again this year, shed as much cap space as possible in the process, hope for another couple million dollar salary cap increase next summer, and then have a realistic goal to compete again in 2020. - EnzoD
Not a bad approach, but you can expect Kane to demand a trade and ticket sales will plummet if your plan was put in place. |

I think people are referring to AA as a third line player on this team moving forward.
Whether he’s a 3C or a 3W, he’s still a valuable piece to this team. Not sure why people are rushing to have him moved. He had a down year as did the rest of the team, but considering the market-place today and the rise of the cap, his contract is perfectly fine IMO for what he brings to the table. He led this team in PP goals, and he’s one of the only players on the team willing to play in front of the net which is something people always clamor for.
I get the game is getting faster and the Hawks have been committed to getting younger and faster as well so naturally he’s a candidate to be moved, but he’d be a terrific third line center if this team is contending. |

So if we are to believe Eklunds rumor chart, Stan Bowman is heading back to the “dug out with the bat in his hands like most of the cubs the last few games, and I am a cub fan ”, striking out in the free-agent market especially with JVR Among others. Saw someone else’s suggestion about rebuilding, count me in as far as not staying, got to send them almost $12,000 by August 3 for this year, wondering how the season is going to look. So I understand it both ways. |
