What's the over/under on Keith Kuchunk's weight today at the draft? - Dieselhead
I thought I read they were removing part of the roof to lower him in. Wiz can confirm |

I wonder how much Lindholm wants that a team desperate for centers isn't willing to give. Lindholm would be a good pick up for any team - defensively strong, great on the PK, excellent in transition and passing, and up up 44/45 points the last two seasons. - L_B_R
Lindholm is a forward high on my list of players I'd like to see in a Hawks sweater. He can play both C and W, and is defensively strong plus all those other traits you listed. If Pageau isn't an option, consider Lindholm at 3C. Still has top 6 potential but is at least a very good middle 6. |

I'd consider Lindholm even over Pageau as he's younger, but it would depend on what he's asking for I guess. Lindholm was the pivot between Aho-Teravainen for much of the season once Rask had issues and he did a lot of the grunt work that doesn't show up as much on the score sheet.
Honestly, it's shockingly dumb for Carolina not to pay him. |

Ok...I am just going to spitball various things b/c I am back in the room and Buzz on my phone is a ridiculous challenger, if I erases the stuff I type before I finish.
IF
the hawks are having serious talks with the hurricanes, make sure they include Elias Lindholm, who advisors told the Hurricanes that are not signing a bridge deal and they want a long fatter deal. ( A trade is the instant reality bite that drops the $ figures)
I love Boone Jenner, but he already is pricey.
Ottawa's acceptance of prospects already in the AHL susytems of other team decided Karlsson trade will come.
Do you to agree that Tavares has to see the islander trading for a goalie before he really decides? (he team says by day two they will announce their intention. (We'll see...)
Cam Talbot? seriously? did I'm miss something?
Detroit has enough selections early on to control the board throughout the start of the second day, and some tonight. |

The problem with asking for Lindholm is you'd think that the Canes will want a center of similar value back and the only player like that for the Hawks is Schmaltz who is a little younger / more potential than Lindholm. It's doubtful they want an Anisimov type for a 23 year old coming off a year were he was arguably their best center. |

I think Carolina wants picks...
and what is further complicating matters is they are presently trying to acquire Philipp Grubauer, they guy folks here are so afraid is a bust...it is not that GMs don't take multiple calls as much as if they are working what looks like a concrete discussion, they are not taking their thoughts elsewhere until done. |

What would be the parameters of deal including Lindhlom? What would hawks have to give up I'm assuming AA would have to be included and what else @
27th pic ++ and is Lindholm a center or winger don't remember? |

Although Pageau is built like a rock despite his height, Lindholm is bigger by both height and weight so he has that advantage as well.
Whenever I watch Canes game highlights, Lindholm seems to be constantly active in generating scoring chances yet he doesn't show up on the scoresheet as much as one would like for a guy with his skill level. Reminds me of Anisimov, especially during the two years he centered Kane and Panarin. Does a lot of little things to help his linemates and often gets unnoticed and even under-appreciated by casual fans. |

Lindholm can play both C or W, and so far seems generally effective in Lines 1, 2, and 3. |

Perhaps Bowman doesn't"t partake in the thunder but he may strike with helpful trades and a f/a whom cannot be worse than what we see in our defensemen
For some reason the new Carolina owner - who reportedly is not shy to spend money to improve - is far apart in contractual terms with nice young talent Lindholm..
And a Bowman special could be the older disenchanted with former team, that being Enstrom
Worth checking into the price for their service? Enstrom could have a performance games played incentive contract.
If you can bring them in at a normalive price, then someone else could also be moved.
Perhaps there will be a big sign like JVR, a #8 top prospect AND smaller moves similar to these. Make sense; do you like them or someone is a better fit. Anderson returns to Chicago or Grabauer. The latter cost more in trade, probably |

The issues is the his contract is ending and he hasn't really ben able to progress as an effective point generator and 200 player so far...and I think Carolina is correct to not want to pay for on the job training...neither will the hawks, but he is an upgrade.....if the Finn is gone, you added strong potential.. |

Why would the Canes want Anisimov? I get that he's a center but they already have two other 2/3Cs in Staal and Rask. I'm guessing they hope Necas is ready to be included in that group by next year as well.
It's also extra complicated because they'd need to have Anisimov's okay for a trade to Carolina before the draft if they wanted to include the #27, which there are no reports of them having asked to waive his NMC so far this summer. |

Really? You'd think they'd be desperate for centers and scoring guys. I'd give the #27 straight up for Lindholm. |

Joel Quenneville on whether there were any surgeries for #Blackhawks this offseason: "Nothing serious, might have been a minor couple little things that were done."
My least favorite thing about the NHL: all the cloak and dagger about injuries. |

Very late to the board today. In regards to Karlsson, was it rumored that the Hawks made an offer to Ottawa for him? If so, does anybody have details on what the Hawks offer was?
And I also saw on twitter that Cory Crawford's name was being thrown around with Buffalo? If so, I would love to see Ryan O'Reilly come this way...not sure why Buffalo would take on 50 though with his health an uncertainty.
If the Hawks wanna take a final run with this core, I think I would make my strongest efforts to land Karlsson. His cap hit is 6M next year, and you have to assume the salary cap will go up again after next season. Would assume Hossa's contract would go back to Ottawa if it happened.
Looking forward to seeing what happens tonight with the draft. If the Hawks pick at 8, would love to see Wahlstrom, Tkachuk, or hope Zadina drops way down (don't see that happening) |

Yeah, reports already said the Avs want to move Orpik to a team he prefers but that they'll buy him out if a trade isn't possible. |
