Oh he's part of the core for sure. Imgaine of the Flyers didn't go full "Mcilrath" with Morin 2013? - tomburton99
Morin skates a lot better than mcilrath, but yeah I get your point. |

Dobson's gonna be gone by 9. Right or wrong, his draft stock has shot through the roof after the Memorial Cup. Boqvist has been sliding, he'll probably be there at 9 at this point. - eichiefs9
I hope not, I think he’s the best dman in the draft after Dahlin. |

Yeah, there was nobody drafted after him that really leaps off the page to me...but they would have had Nashville-like defensive depth had they taken Morrissey, Pulock, Zadorov, or Theodore. - eichiefs9
Theodore is really the only guy I wish they had taken and he developed nicely. Risto was obviously the target but that didn't happen. RH shot would've been nice, but Morin will actually turn out more useful than Pulock (for the Flyers)
Morin was one of several moves they made in an attempt to fill the void Pronger's injury left. The upside was there (not really offensively though) and he was raw. A bit of a reach but nothing egregious. He is NHL ready, just had a rough year. |

I've definitely said that if I were a Ranger fan Seguin would be a great signing, but it's early to assume (not saying you're assuming) that he's going to want to leave Dallas. - eichiefs9
I saw a Flyers game in Dallas with some friends and we went out after the game. Say Jamie Benn and Seguin at the bar. Watched Seguin get a cab home with a smoke show.
That is as far as I got before I was apprehended. |

Didn't he hurt his knee a few times this year? I'd have some pretty large concerns about his durability if that's the case.
He hasn't had a flashy start to his career, but down the stretch Pulock was not only the Islanders best defenseman by a mile, but arguably their second-best player behind Barzal. He had an absolutely phenomenal second-half. |

Yeah no doubt, but goaltenders are such an unbelievable crapshoot that he's as likely to be terrible as he is to be a superstar. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see him bust or win a Vezina at some point. - eichiefs9
He has the mind to be a top shelf goalie along with the game/stats. He isn't their only prospect either if it doesn't work out, but I am very confident he will. Love that dude. He is my goalie version of Barzal/Sanheim |

I loathe myself for not saving the pictures, but I have a buddy that lives out in LA and was out in either Hermosa or Santa Monica or one of those beach towns and ran into an absolutely-trashed Drew Doughty who proceeded to hit on my friend's GF (literally hanging all over her) and yell at my friend to buy him drinks
With the time difference, I woke up to like 5 pictures of Doughty looking like a sloppy, homeless veteran with his arm around my friends now-wife. |

Yeah it wasn't a commentary on Hart specifically as much as it was just the position in general. It's god damn impossible to project goaltenders. |

My comment was less about Pulock and more about the Flyers. With Ghost, Sanheim, and Provorov, he wouldn't really see PP time (or Sanheim wouldn't). I like Pulock and that shot is awesome, but it is just a matter of rounding out the Flyers defense, which I think a guy like Morin can help with.
He had a groin issue that took a while to heal correctly. Finally made it back during the playoffs and caught a rut and tore his ACL in the first period. Just poop luck. Not something I would consider injury prone or concerned with yet. Myers is the more "injury prone" guy. |

Gotcha, well I guess we will see how Morin progresses over time. Flyers will definitely be a force going forward though. I'm sure they'll be yet another Metro team that will make my cry myself to sleep after winning a Cup, at some point. |

I don't expect him to ever be "worth" 11th overall, but his speed/skating is great, he has a good first pass that will work well in the NHL, insane reach. His shot/offense never developed to the point where the pick would be a home run. Oh well. |
