Wow has RNH ever been better on the wing!! Way better than centre the last 3 years.

I would be happy to read an Ek blog rather than a rumour-sensationlism. Good thoughts on RNH.... no need to hide.

He certainly elevated his play at the recent internationals but still not enough to carry the team. He is not Mike Bossy. Maybe the larger ice serves him better.

I'm a guest writer, at the top of the blog it states it is written by me. The blogs are posted through Ek. Hope that clears things up

Nuge has had all the makings of a top line winger for years. Just not good enough in the dot and physically imposing enough to be a top line center. Playing him as a winger is the perfect way to maximize his salary.

Remind me again, how good was Hall/Draisaitl?

My suggestion is to find a way to keep Nuge/McDavid/Drai on the top line and go value shopping for line 2 after magically trading Lucic and Russel and not retaining salary or getting a bad contract in return.

Get Nuge-McDavid a solid possession presence for their RW and you could likely bank on them turning that Corsi number. Rattie was the weak link as far as getting out of the zone and back on the attack. I'd say that's only priority number 3 for me, though.

I firmly believe if RNH is a regular with McDavid next season he will surpass 30 goals and 60 points for the first time in his career.

Woah such a bold prediction.

A career 50 point guy will get 60 points if he plays on a line with the best player in the world.

Big if true.

Would you rather he make an egregious claim like "RNH will score 90 points"? Does every prediction need to be bold?

Well considering RNH has a career 82 game pace of 56 points yeah I'm going to need something more thought out than a 60 point prediction.

Does being "thought out" correlate to being "bold"? Considering Nuge's career goal scoring paces him for 21 goals per 82 games, I'd posit that a 9+ goal jump is pretty significant. Further, he stated he believes Nuge will surpass 30 goals and 60 points for the first time in his career meaning his prediction is likely even higher (and thus more "bold").

The big key here is can he stay healthy enough to get through a whole season to reach this possible potential.

Not at all offended but nice attempt at deflecting. I just don't agree with someone that seems to suggest that every writer has to make egregious and bold claims. I'd sooner contest those who try to levy impotent critiques of a new (but not really) writer in an attempt to push him towards more outlandish ideas. Put simply, I'd rather not have a site full of Cloutiers and Tanners.
