Pretty indifferent signing. Might have been better off with a guy from Belleville, but this wont make a huge impact on the Sens next year, and they aren't expected to be great anyway.

Fine signing. Chlapik and White have a place on 4th and 3rd line. Brown should have on more year in the AHL.

We should try and trade Z. smith away with all these centers coming up in the system.

Very good depth signing. Right dollars for a 3/4 line guy.

I liked the way he played for the Sens.

It may be the first time in his career that he wasn't expected to be a goal scorer.

I just posted almost this exact article on the Oilers blogs the other day.

PRV is great at suppressing shots but is even better at generating shots. He generates shots at almost a 2nd/1st line rate. By eye though, he tends to generate low danger shots though from what I remember. And he is not a scorer.

Need to be with linemates that are able to utilize what he brings. A shooter and someone that crashes the net and gets garbage goals.

With two legitimate 2nd line players like that on his line, and with only 900k to spend on a third spot, is probably the best UFA option available.

Playing him lower in the lineup will take advantage of his shot suppression, but with poorer players on his line his shot generation abilities will be wasted there.

Odd player, but is a fit for higher in the line up if money is tight and paired with the right offensive linemates.
