My guess is 1 game, but hey, it's the NHL.

It could be for the length of the playoffs.

It could be an official apology from the NHL for tarnishing Kadri's reputation.

Your guess is as good bad as mine.

at least it will give you a good excuse for loosing the serie

DOPs is inconsistent in my opinion but yes I do think his history was taken into account.

The ratio rule isn't real - at least not officially. In my opinion he gets 1 game min and 3 games max based on how I perceive the system to work but if he got more I also wouldn't be surprised

They've said on the record that they consider one playoff game to be the equivalent of two regular season games.

Kadri is a good hockey player but a dirty SOB. He needs to sit for 3 games. He drove Wingels at full speed into the boards without stopping, whether Wingels was in a vulnerable position or not. He could have broken Wingels neck, and had time to let up, but did not. Doughty doesn't have that rep, and he clipped Karlsson in open ice with his shoulder - not nearly as bad. Give Doughty a game and Kadri a three game suspension.

Marchand gets away with more than I've seen any other player in the Ovie/Crosby era. It's crazy.

Marchand should be suspended for the entirety of the playoffs. He is a filthy weasel and licking another player is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen.

Doughty should not have been suspended.
Kadri should maybe get a game. He barely made contact with Wingels and if he hadnt turned away from it at the last second it wouldnt have looked nearly as bad.

The elbow was inadvertent. Wingels and Chara crashed at basically the same time into Marner. Marner threw his head back like the pansy snowflake he is.

2 game suspension.

- Videoj

Of course it was inadvertent... Of course.. A bruin would never intend to elbow one of the opponents best, smallest players..

What a lame post, pathetic actually ... Leafs in either 5 or 6. Too fast .. Wont be missing open nets any more...

Oh, good - I was hoping a Vancouver fan with an obvious inferiority complex towards Toronto would give his unbiased opinion...

Just stating the obvious
it's in his nature
Suspended 3X before this for headshots

Heck I guess hitting a player from behind while he is still on his knee's is the equivalent to a glancing blow trying to stop a player off the rush.

solid logic.

So since they can all adjust on a dime, the "no time to react" argument can't be used for anyone anymore? Or is it just Kadri?

Have you ever argued that a guy turned his back at the last second before getting hit into the boards? Ever? I'm pretty sure just about everyone has. By your logic that doesn't matter because everyone is able to adjust in a fraction of a second.

- Jeffmt

Point is Kadri had seconds...not just a fraction of a second.

From behind? Are you trolling or is this a mental condition? Try this: hold your right hand up to your ear, is it beside you or behind you right now?

He had seconds to commit to the hit, so it was definitely charging and definitely careless. He didn't have seconds to react to Wengels going down on his knees though. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve a suspension. If someone gets hurt while you're being careless there's consequences. I just think this "intent to injur" narrative is mostly typical Kadri hate. He tried to deliver a "(frank) you" hit and it turned bad so he'll sit for a game or two.

Where's the frame when he initiates the hit?

Should be 5 for Kadri but it will be 1 game. If it was Aaron Rome vs the Bruins he would have got the rest of the series by Bettman and Campbell...

Your glasses are tinted so blue, I don't think you can actually see through them anymore.

Kadri deserves a couple of games.
Doughty probably deserved a couple of games too.

Marchand was just trying to taste the collectives tears of unfathomable sadness... straight up hockey play really.

Horse đź’©. He threw that elbow. Should have 110% been a 5 minute penalty. Sportnet analysts said the same thing

Yeah I saw the Doughty hit... Carrier had wrecked him all game, and Doughty saw a chance to take a cheap shot, and drilled him right in the head. If they want to protect players and take head shots out of the game, that hit should have been multiple games.

Doughty should not be suspended. Carrier is an inexperienced player who lowered his head at the wrong time reaching for the puck. Shouldn’t have even been a penalty. You can’t suspend arguably the best player on either team because a young player put himself in a vulnerable position.
- BringNYIhome

It wasn't even called a penalty in game... everyone played on, Carrier mustered himself to his skates and got the bench and maybe missed one shift, I cant recall.
