I HATEDDDDD Messier but holy phuck was he a leader.
- kindlyrick

Always believed he never got enough credit for being dirty. One of the dirtiest players to play the game imo. He was good for multiple Spears a game.

Ok seriously would you guys trade Tito? I mean he has skill but only 19 points playing on a top line is really bad. I am up for trading him prospect draft pick for a top winger.
- kasperrko

I would have no issue moving him down the lineup if we brought in a true top line winger to play with Barzal, but i would not trade Beau. This is obviously a business but 13 and 18 are best friends and I want to do everything to keep Barzal happy.

Josh Ho-Sang is 0-4-4 in 7 games since being sent down with ONE shot on goal. And he's been held scoreless in 5 of the 7 games.

This is very not good, everyone.

Up until this point I was pretty convinced that Ho Sang was just taking awhile to acclimate to the new system, but I think his time here is winding down. It's not working. Problem is that he has little-to-no trade value. He may be stuck toiling in the minors for quite awhile.

Would I? Yes, in the proper deal. Not dying to move him though.

That said, he's only in his 3rd NHL season and he's on pace for 20+ goals for the second year in a row. That's good. Not everyone develops at the speed Barzal did. If Beauvillier ends up as a 25-25-50pt player than that was a late 1st round pick that was well worth it.

He's never going to be a superstar in this league but he can be a really valuable player.

Bailey's wife kicking it in the cockpit of a small plane on their vacation in St. Bart's. That'd be a hell of a way to get his cap hit off the books.

But we'd have to sacrifice Martin and Sydney too.

I would also not be in a hurry to move Beau. I wonder if he could be a future 2C or is that not realistic?

Seems like they want him to play the wing, so I'd guess no on that one. I think it's either gonna be Nelson or an outside hire for the 2C spot

I never liked eaither in fact messier is top five least favorite players of all time but I didn’t hate the team nor do I hate them now because of it. Seems a bit nuts to me.
- Cptmjl

I hated that whole team. Including 99 who was flopping around like a jacka$$. Glen Anderson who constantly ran Billy Smith, Messier, MacTavish, Coffee, etc. They were always running Bossy. .... The thing that irked me the most though was how everyone treated the Isles run. They hated that a team from Long Island winning these cups. They changed the friggin rules in 84 which if you ask anyone on that Isles team they will tell u it's one of the main reasons they lost. They forever before and after had done the series 2 games home, 2 away and then 1, 1, 1... this was only year they did 2 home and 3 away. Isles very rarely lost at home (hence "fort Never lose"), but they lost game 1 1-0 and never got the chance to play there again to steal momentum back.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pncY9l35QnI Then the Oilers won 5 cups in 7 years. They were crowned the team of the 80's... eff them. .. I still hate em... always will too.

You forget that he is a 21 year old kid. He is just starting to become what kind of player he will eventually turn into... I would really have to be blown away to move him.

It seems like he has to slow his game down a bit to see the ice a little better. He’s like a hyperactive pinball out there but most of the time he’s getting nothing done. Hopefully he settles it down a bit and gets it together.

I like him a lot... you can see he is very coachable. He was really all over the place last night. Unfortunately, every time he passed to Bailey he had to hurry and back check b/c that turd gave it away.
