I'm not sure either. But it's not so much a matter of jump starting them. It's more a matter of getting them to play defensively responsible hockey.

Moose Spackle wasn't very defensively responsible on the game winning goal last night. Seems kinda weird to reward him by moving him up to the second line.

Not many choices but he is one of the few who actually has some speed and doesn't skate like he is stuck in sand

Of all the players, what is Moose doing leaving early?

He has speed, size, and he generally finishes his checks. And like you said, Barry doesn't have a lot of good alternatives.

Beau has really been in a funk. I do not have a big problem with the move.

He did fly early, but he was also playing the weak side. Of the three forwards that all (frank)ed up, he was the least of it. Eberle was on the strong side boards and, even though Pulock's clearing attempt was pathetic, he should have been there to at least tie up the winger.

Not saying it absolves him of responsibility, but I'm not gonna kill him for it.

I get that, and I'm not looking to kill him, I just question the move. There aren't any better alternatives right now with the big club. I certainly don't want Ladd, Clusterfack, or Kormorov on the second line.

I wish there was a better alternative, but short a trade or calling up a scoring forward from the Bridge, this is what Barry's stuck with.

That should do the trick

Well at least moonbottle hustles out there
Edit: barzal to center first line too

Yea weakside guy can fly in case theres a long stretch pass out of the zone and it spreads out the d. Now the center is supposed to help down low and eberle had no business being out of the zone. The least he could have done is tie up his man on the draw and make him skate around him

#Isles at practice
Beauvilluer dropped to fourth line
Barzal and Belson switch spots.
Lee-Barzal-Bailey
Kuhnhackl-Nelson-Eberle
Ladd-Filppula-Komarov
Beauvilluer-Cizikas-Clutterbuck

This isnt bad as nelson is better at d than barzal and lee and bailey can help 13 along. Beau deserves his spot right now not that coonsuckle should be there but again hes decent in his own end

Yeah I didn't mean it to sound like I was saying you were getting all over him for it. Just saying of all the (frank)-ups, his was the least (frank)ed.

I don't think Bellows is ready to be honest and even if he were close I think he'd still benefit more from getting top-6/PP minutes in the AHL.

I really like that Lee-Barzal-Bailey line.

It probably makes the other lines weaker, but I think getting Barzal going is key and helps a lot of other things fall into place. And, hey, just like Bailey and Lee had to show they can produce without Tavares, let's see Nelson and Eberle show what they can do on their own. I think it also opens that second line up for some competition if the guys in Bridgeport keep up their hot streaks.

That entire line (frank)ed up. At least Nelson won the draw. Then everyone bailed to the neutral zone. Even Pulock, who (frank)ed up the clearing attempt left. Leaving Johnson open low for the tip in. It was a complete break down.

Didn’t we start the season with that line? I don’t remember it being all that exciting😂

I don't think so...Bailey, yes, but Lee was with Nelson and Eberle. My theory is that Barzal controlling the puck in the zone the way he does will give Lee a little more time to set up in front than he gets with the Bailey-Nelson rushes. And the attention the D will have give Lee will free Barzal up more than he is now.

Pretty sure they were together. Not a huge fan of it really. Unfortunately there’s not much Trotz can do because he has to send a message and change it up but he’s got nothing to work with. When mosseknuckle is in your top 6 it kind of depicts an ugly line up. It is what it is I guess. After saying this Kuhnhackl with two goals and an assist tonight.

I was trying to be polite with the "I don't think so," but it's no...Lee hasn't been with Barzal 5-on-5 this season Maybe they were on the ice together a couple of times in between a line change or two.
