Imagine, if you are 20 yars old, you have only seen Milbury and Snow as your GM.

Not to nitpick, but Snow didn't sign Yashin. That was Milbury. Snow was Yashin's teammate until Snow retired to become GM-In-Training.

Not to mention it's pretty common knowledge that the DP deal was an edict from turdbucket Wang.

Nibbling them off wasn’t so effective.

Wahlstrom/Iskhakov NCAA seasons have not started yet

Wahlstrom scored 2 goals in their first game over the weekend I believe. They didn’t play a big time school but they did play a game

It's 3 games in and the PP is operating at a very nice 27.3%. Right now there's no need to change anything. I'd also love to see Pulock at the point on PP1, but spreading some talent to PP2 is also not the worst thing.

I have complete faith that this coaching staff will make appropriate changes as needed if Leddy plays his way off PP1 or Pulock forces their hand to move him up to Leddy's spot there.

They seem to be setting Bailey up for the one timer like that every, single power play. Funny thing is he looks pretty good with his one timer something I would have never expected.
- Cptmjl

I wonder what Trotz said to him to finally get him to shoot. Most impressive part of yesterday's game was Bailey's first shot was anticipated and caught easily by Jones. his second one he kept low and stick side which created a rebound for Lee. I don't know it for sure but I could easily see one of the coaches telling him to shoot there for a rebound. regardless.. it was a solid adjustment.

I told 7 you can shoot on net for a rebound in game one........ im just happy to see a system and the players support each other out there. Hopefully it holds up and continues to improve. Lehner looked good hes so big too he doesn't need to move tons to take away angles.

The announcers said during one of the games (I don't remember which one, but it wasn't pre-season) that Bailey will focus on shooting more. According to them Bailey said one of the reasons is he is playing with an excellent passer in Barzal.

What was tavares? Bailey has tried 4 or 5 cute passes when he could/should have shot, he still is shooting a bit more so thats good to see and beau looked better last game

I don't know man, that's what they said. Bailey will focus on shooting more than he has in the past. It makes sense. Barzal draws players to himself like a magnet. It creates a lot of space for everyone else. We saw it on Bailey's OT goal.

I'm still not convinced Bailey is the best linemate for Barzal, but I'm one of the biggest Bailey bashers on HB. Take it for what you will. Besides its only been three games.

Barzal is next level talent. Top speed with all the skill set. Skates with his head down at times and i pray he doesn’t get clipped. But he’s as talented as any other teams top guy(s)

Saw that Cronins name was bought up as far as the PK. I read an article by Staple the other day and saw this in it and thought you guys would find it interesting, I sure as hell did.

“During the summer we talked to individuals that were part of the PK,” Trotz said. “They gave me a heads up on what happened. Lane Lambert, who’s in charge of the PK, did his own recon, if you will. We know what they were thinking last year. It got changed around a bit at times. Just want to give them a real good platform to start with, a good foundation.”

The only part of the Isles’ PK that changed in the second half of last season was Greg Cronin, the associate coach who had designed a unit that ranked fourth in the league (84.5 percent) in 2015-16 and 11th (81.9) in 2016-17, who lost his job overseeing the PK to Luke Richardson, according to a couple players.

Cronin, now the head coach of the Avalanche’s AHL team, is considered an innovator in penalty-kill design. His style to “pressure down,” with players collapsing in the corners and along the wall rather than only pressuring out high, has been copied around the league.

“A couple of the best kills in the league last year used his system,” one NHL coach said

Remembering what was said about the Isles and playing against them last year by one Capitals player( don’t remember who) I found this quote about The Isles by Sharks coach DeBoer interesting.

"They played desperate," Sharks coach Peter DeBoer said. "They blocked a lot of shots. They were heavy, they were hard. They played a good hockey game. That's a one-goal game basically going into the third period on the road, so you've got to give them some credit. They played hard defensively. They didn't give you a whole lot. They found a way to get the first power-play goal and we didn't

Interesting quote by DeBoer, 7. Sure different from that one last season where the Cap (Kuznetsov?) said he was surprised at how much room they had to operate. A real sign that the country club is over.
