Good game. Yeah Flipulla looks ok and Martin scored a goal. Most likely one of the six he’ll score this year. Take a breath big guy we’re three games in. Also, Komorov for four years at this point should preclude you from beating your chest about anything but that’s what you do.😂
With all of that said good game entertaining I had to break it up bcs of work just finished it. Lehner looked awesome I hope this is a consistent thing.

Looked very good.

Komy contract can be bought out. He’s playing well and gets what needs to be done to win especially defensively and on the PK.

True only 3 games have been played and they have played a hell of a lot better than most thought.

Lehner looked great and I’m happy for him. Tough year he has gone through.

Kudos to Lou and Trots.

Of course we all want it to continue.

So far Komorov to me has been super slow and a step behind the play but his line mates pick up the slack whether that’ll continue or not idk? Pelech to me has been the soft part on the back end but hard to pass judgement three games in. Who cares overall they’re playing with more structure as a team not the free for all bullshat we saw last season. Hopefully it continues.

Good thing we have Filppula and Mooseknuckle there to back up Komy

The difference in defensive awareness and structure is very evident, totally agree.

Less talent and a better coach. That’s exactly why it was so difficult to watch this team with Capuano or Weight behind the bench. Incredibly frustrating. There was so many bad obvious decisions on a nightly basis who knows what some of those teams could have done?

I think the Team that beat Fl in the first round could have done some damage with a real coach.

Flipulla has looked good and moose knuckle didn’t make to many glaring mistakes and actually covered for Komorov a couple times. Like I said we’re only three games in so I’ll reserve judgement on Komorov but so far he looks a step behind hard to be a good defensive player at that speed. Haha. Team plays like a unit overall it’s ok to have a couple guys dragging on any given night can’t all have stellar games consistently.

The way they came out against Tampa to me was coaching. Completely flat at times like they already accomplished their mission by winning a round. That was the Garth Snow culture.

100%.

Tampa had dissected what the Isles did in the first round and were ready. Crappy and co had no answers unfortunately.

Just finished watching, I'm not going back to read the comments. Great game! Good for Lehner. It's so nice to see the team play with structure and a plan. There is a long way to go but Snow looks stupider with every win.

EDIT: and they only gave up 35 shots.

Any thoughts on whether this is a positive or a negative or no big deal?

MSG will no longer be directly involved in the Isles' Belmont project. MSG said today it is selling its stake in the Oak View Group — the arena development company that's partners with Isles & Wilpons at Belmont Park — to entertainment executive Irving Azoff.

I'm thinking that it's probably no big deal, but without knowing MSG's motivation for selling, it's hard to know for sure. I believe MSG still owns the Rangers, and having them own, even indirectly, part of the Isles' barn never set well with me. On the other hand, if they had an interest in the barn, maybe the Isles would get fairer treatment on their network? I dunno, like I said, it's probably no big deal.

Pelech is absolutely putrid. Sbisa is really bad. I don't get Komarov at all. But things can change and it's only three games into the season. Not assuming anything, good or bad, is going to remain constant after only three games. But they played a solid game overall today and it was nice to see.
- eichiefs9

Pelech and sbisa i agree, komorov isnt flashy but solid. Filppula looks good so far and 15 53 17 line looked good as well. As i said last game if they play like this regularly they will be ok

MSG Probs made a quick ton of $$$$$$. Have to think it’s a conflict of interest. Thanks for the help MSG. Don’t let the door knob hit you on your arses on the way out.

So I have to ask since you play Nok hockey. You see Pelech as putrid but Pollock as being good in his own end? Honest question.

As far as the team its working regardless

Pelech makes some bad passes and has mental lapses quite often. Pulick has made some mistakes too not as glaring to me but both are learning

With everything he’s battled over the years, Lehner’s career save % is just .003 lower than Henrik Lundqvist ‘s.

Imagine how good he could be if healthy? #Isles fans already have. https://t.co/HgUrYFIGfK
