chytil looked at his best when Beau went around him like a Cone for game winner.
Ill take Bailey over 55 points easily and perhaps not far off his 2017-18 season total.
Beau will certainly get 30+

As for Sbisa, You guys love to focus on negative but noone wants to talk about nice play on wrap around with nice feed to Beau that almost won game in regulation.

Sbisa > Seidenberg and Strait.

Anyone want to Bash Hickey today?

Fact - No matter what team Isles field, the domination of Rangers will continue forever. I mean correct me here, I think Rangers have 1 win vs isles in last 3-4 years.

- Spartiarti

He got stuck out on a long shift like tavares did 1000 times, good for isles but not a reflection of chytil, hes gonna be very good.

Im better than seids and strait what's your point? Sbisa made quite a few mistakes as did mayfield and pelech, if toews is sent down because of any of them then this team isnt icing the best possible roster. You looked at one good play and ignored 7 terrible ones

Nary a post without a Bailey mention. How’d you think the goalies were last night? “Well Bailey....”

Sure, there's all this bad stuff, but he almost made a nice play!

I think the Isles have met their quota for d-men who love to trap themselves behind the other team's net.

my hopes for lines.. at this point.
Eberle/Barzal/Beauv
Lee/Nelson/Bailey
Komarov/Kovar/(call up JHS or Bellows.. please)
cc/CC/MM

Leddy/Boychuk
Pulock/Toews
Mayfield/Hickey

- niteislander

It's hard to come up with a second line that looks like it'll be dangerous in anything but spurts. Bailey and Nelson can both look really good or invisible for stretches. Lee is more consistent, but really needs to have players around him who keep the puck in the zone for most of a given shift for him to be effective...he's definitely not a player who's going to carry the line when the other two aren't at their best. You can put Eberle on that line, but he has some of the same issues Nelson and Bailey do.

All of them are good support players, but I think they have to go outside the organization to find someone who can be an engine that drives the second line...either a center that's great at controlling the puck in the offensive zone, or a winger who can dominate possession along the boards. I'm not really convinced that, without outside help, that line can consistently make other teams pay the price for keying in on Barzal's line.

That said, I don't expect a trade in the near term.

Nice day down here. No humidity, on shore breeze and high 60's.

Not nearly as hot as Bailey. Also, Bailey doesn't forsee any rain either. And Hickey says it's a little dry.

It really is hot as hell here and (frank)ing sick of it.

Don’t forget Pelech. Typical,” these Guys suck BS.” Day after Day after Day

I thought Pelech and Pulock played very well last night. Of course that’s my opinion and well it’s well documented....

right so a cross check across the back and a lucky rebound right to Zibanjad stick makes him horrible. got it. what about rest of game?

i agree Toews should be in line but he can replace Mayfield, Pelech or Sbisa. Did you watch the whole game, Sbisa and Mayfield played really well. If their was odd man out of me Pelech didnt do much.

i love reading your garbage... just like your buddy db...maybe you and him can hang out at the "Hickey fan club for hockey guys that just dont get it that marginal mediocre players don't need to be on a team".. Real easy for Hickey to look decent when he was playing with guys like Mayfield and Sibsa..

And for the rest of the game he was garbage...yes garbage.. one play doesn't make him an incredible player... sun shines on a dogs rear every once in a while

That's our Sparti. Always has his rose-colored, half-glass-full glasses on. On the other hand, at least he's trying to find positives where the rest of us miserable fucks are always looking to bash and/or be negative. Maybe we should try a sip of what he's smokin'.

Agree on both.. but as someone who defended Sbisa he really infuriated me a lot during that game. It's preseason but man that second goal was all him.

I really don't understand why they didn't leave Bellows up to start the season. he is a full blown sniper. He would look fantastic on second line and give you that extra zip on the line.

I am ok with Eberle on second line if Bellows on the line with him. Move Bailey down to 3rd (or back to center and move Nelson to 3rd if he reverts back to Meh). I just don't think we need a trade as much as need to move to some of the young guys. I hope this group of coaches pull triggers quickly. I would be very happy in December if we had JHS and Bellows on the team.
