To each their own man I'm sick of watching losing. That's really it.

Bro I’m with you i get it. But, at least we know the suck is capped. We did a 10 year and then a 12 year stint of suck. It’s finally capped. In the meantime there is legit young talent on this team and in the system (finally).

I'm not so sure about that these moves are making me have my doubts. We shall see how it turns out but whether we are doing a full rebuild or not(which according to Lou wasnt happening) is irrelevant when gauging these contracts. They're dumb no matter how you slice it. Also, I dont believe Tavares leaving should mean let's sign bad players to bad contracts time. Makes zero sense. Hes a bad defensive 80 point player folding up your tents and calling it a season is exactly what the last regime would've done and to me sends the wrong message to the entire orginization. Like I said agree to disagree.

Some can be buried in the minors.....it’s not a problem. I don’t think they’re gonna admit rebuilding because firstly it’s bad for business. Secondly, i don’t think it’s a full rebuild, as they have SOME real pieces to build around at all positions. But this year will definitely be interesting.
I think you’re gonna see Ho Sang have a huge year. I’m not a Ho sang fan but there’s no denying his talent. Under Trotz and the right guidance/leadership, he can really put up numbers. Points are gonna get him paid so i see him really doin it this year as times runnin out for him.

Not worth the cost of acquisition. Islanders are needing skill with term.

Exactly schwein. Patches does not make a lot of sense for the Isles.

The only exception to this rule that comes to mind is Panarin. If Columbus was willing to let Lou talk extension with Panarin prior to a trade, then I’d be all over that. Especially in light of the Kovar signing. We’ve seen what Panarin could do with Anisimov and Kane. Pairing him with Kovar and Eberle would likely garner similar results, and give Barzal some much needed breathing room match up wise.

Yep! Panarin is a whole other deal. If Isles can trade for and sign him you do it.

Chicken Little would never write such a thing. I'm to busy looking for a cliff to jump off of while I'm overreacting.

And pay him whatever the (frank) he wants. Panarin is a complete difference maker, more than capable of carrying his own line.

Cannot even imagine what the Isles would have to give up. Probably Walhstrom and Dobson? I'm not even looking for Lou to get a Pararin type and Isles are really not ready for this type of deal, but I expected better than these 4th line players.

Don’t necessarily have to trade for him. He’ll be a UFA in a years time. Then he’ll only cost you money.

No chance I see the Isles having a shot at signing him. Isles might have to wait until the summer before Belmont to make an impact move. Sad to say many players will be scared off of the two buildings right now and JT leaving.

There is some truth to this, yes. But 2019 is shaping up to be one hell of a FA class. Players like Panarin, Karlsson, Wheeler, Seguin, Duchene, Bobrovsky, Skinner, Brassard, Pavelski, Henrique and Nyquist could possibly be available. Many will be re-upped but I’m betting more than a few will test free agency. And depending on what the Islanders decide to do, they might be in prime position to take advantage of it.

You forgot Lee and Ebs.

I am wary of UFA. It seems like they all get signed to bad contracts.

I didn’t forget them. Since they are already Islander property they’ll either be extended (Lee🤞) or flipped at the deadline (Eberle🤞), so I didn’t feel they warranted inclusion.

I totally understand the FA contract fears (Ladd🤢), but I’d be willing to overpay for players like Wheeler, Seguin, Panarin, Bobrovsky or Karlsson. Also it might help adding an impact FA signing or two for Barzal’s sake.

Let's be realistic here. You have nothing to worry about as far as any of those players signing here next offseason the way this team is presently assembled
