Taking a two goal lead into the 3rd period at home against the last place team, and coming away without a ROW....... Not worthy of a celebration.

I’ll chalk it partly up to the flu. Pretty sure a few guys played through it tonight.

The flu would be an acceptable excuse against Tampa or Boston or the Caps. Not against the Sens after they traded away their best players.

Yes, very disappointing win, if there is such a thing. I hope Lehner is okay.

The flu doesn’t explain their play for a while now save for the Leafs game. That to me I find a bigger problem then anything else. The fact they showed up for that game but the games before and after don’t seem to have any urgency to them for these guys lately imo.

Obviously, it's difficult to get up for every game in a 82-game season. The teams with superior talent don't need to. They win some of their games on talent alone. Unfortunately, the Isles are not in that position.

Just finished the game how the hell was that a goal? He bulldozed the goalie, I've seen guys pushed in and not have that called a goal. He was already gonna hit lehner I'm just amazed that was a goal

Isles had a great second period hopefully the team gets healthy and the next game is a must win again. Have to beat the sens and the standings are very tight again. Ladd was bad again del colle looked good

I would love if they moved Dal Cole and Ho Sang together to the third line with Flippula. Won’t happen I know.

They looked good offensively, but they were an absolute disaster in their own zone. It felt like last year again. Left the points wide open and then everyone would screen their own goalie.

Hope Lehner's OK, too. Rather not go into the last 15 games with Greiss and Gibson!

Because the puck went into the net. The fact that Lehner got steamrolled, had his head smashed into the ice and got dragged half way out of the crease by Tkachuk so his teammate could have a tap in is irrelevant to the off-ice officials. Apparently. I don't think it helps that, much like football, the officials are unclear as to what certain calls are.

Could be worse. Could still have Poulin. Or JFB!

I missed the first. Agree about the second. As a few others mentioned earlier, there is no way the Sens should have even been in that game. This team does not have the talent nor the depth to take games off. Every one needs to be 100% full-on effort in order to stay in the playoffs. Way too tight in the standings.

That went to the league for review and they said good goal. I've seen d men crosscheck a player into the goalie and the player get a penalty on lesser plays than that. Its absurd that was a goal, even if the d man doesn't hit him he was still going to trainwreck lehner. Lwts be happy they got two points and also hope that Martin and clutter are healthy for the next game. I think del colle has earned a spot on the team but theres no spot for him cause of ladd. I also believe Trotz wants him out there but it's not in his hands due to lou and the contracts he has.

I don't know how they allowed that as a goal either. Irregardless of whether a defender was there or not, he wasn't stopping until he took out Lehner. I'm surprised "The Boss didn't put Anderson through the glass behind his cage after that. Ridiculous. To me, the league set a precedence (to a degree) that it's ok to run goalies as long as there's a defender on your back.

I love Trotz' answer when asked about the play. He went right to the point ... Brock was behind the play and b/c of that was pushing him from behind. He did not say that Brock pushed him into Lehrner, but called him and others out for being constantly out of position. This team was so good for so long at being in the right place and all the sudden all these horrible habits are back. Brock and Boychuk were following their guy to the net. They need to straighten this sht out quickly... very frustrating to watch.

Very aggressive interview by Trotz calling out his guys if you have not seen it. Only guy he praised was MDC.

I liked "puljarvi pretended to want something with johnston"

Burke is awesome and what makes him endearing to us as fans is he give subtle little jabs to the don cherry's and people who kick this fanbase

I just love that 2 seconds after the game he can name a million details that we all saw happen on the ice. He is just so much better than the last 5 guys we have had behind the bench with their idiotic... "battle levels", "puck luck", "too many passengers", crap.

Exactly, I love this coach. It wouldn't surprise me if he sat Ladd tomorrow to "rest" him as he gets back in game shape. (Well, it would, but wishes come true sometimes)

If anyone can turn this back around, it's Trotz.
