I don't feel that way.

No need to fix what ain't broken, and I'd be hard pressed to find something truly broken on the Isles.

PP is one big problem. Barzal's line is another.

Even if it's Lou first year as GM, it's tough the Isles have another do nothing deadline. It should be a little easier to make deals. We hear wait for the summer and it's usually a snooze fest in terms of trades as well. Lou is going to have to throw serious big money at Duchene or Panarin this offseason.

Wheeling and dealing at the deadline doesn't always work. Sometimes you still fail and you gave up assets to do it. Some scoring help would've, well....helped, but it's not the end of the world.

Big week ahead, gotta run a gauntlet of Calgary, Toronto/Washington back-to-back, and Philly on Sunday.

As Islander fans right or wrong it's still a feeling of being left out of the party and still a feeling of being small time. I stand by not giving up a top prospects for a rental but there should be a middle ground you can make a good trade without giving up the future. The NHL is still behind in terms of trades and excitement in comparison to other sports. Trades and FA signings are big deals and the NHL is way behind.

Yeah, but I'd argue that would be best addressed at the coaching level, not so much lineup wise.

Isles already have top coaches and I'm sure Barry is not just going along with something because it's Gomez. They do not have enough shooters.

Still gonna feel small time if the Isles win the Metro without having done a single (frank)ing thing?

They could use more of those for sure. Nyquist arguedly could have addressed that, but if didn't wanna waive, well what do you do?

Let's hope these players kick it up to an even higher notch after this amount of loyalty shown to them. They better beat the Leafs 8-0.

I really don’t have a problem with them doing nothing. I still stick to my guns about the 1st, Beau and one of our top D prospects for Stone...especially with an extension but I’m not too upset about it.

This is it. Tavares left and they prospered and now confidence has been instilled in these guys that they don’t need help. Hopefully they rally around that.

Seriously. I'll be there on Thursday. I expect this team to be back on track. Though, they do have the Flames tomorrow night.

Flames will be real tough to beat. It's going to be real interesting seeing how players like Bailey and Eberle do in the playoffs.

You’re no longer small time if you’re first in the metro at this point in the season. Fact

It's all up to the players now to reward Lou and Barry's confidence. Let's hope a couple of players really pick it up the rest of the way and maintain for the playoffs.

If the isles can play the leafs in the playoffs I’d be content

Problems don’t just go away. They’ll end up losing a playoff series for lack of scoring on the PP......it will be addressed and all those prospects who weren’t traded will be a year older and closer to impact. This isn’t our same old isles...

I don't have a problem with it either because they've already exceeded expectations, but I can't help feeling a little disappointed.

I have no doubt it's not the same old Islanders. I'll be interested to see if we see a Lee signing soon? I really hope Eberle is let go. Isles need to open spots for other moves in the offseason. It's important this roster does not become stale.

It's only natural to want to see something get done today on deadline day. Exciting trades and exciting FA signings generate interest not the dopey 3 on 3 and shootouts.
