She lost me at the it would cost $100 million dollars to add some seats and sweets to NVMC.

Candy concessions are there already

But seriously, there is a plan on paper which calls for an extensive renovation which will add seats and suites but will require the roof to come off and also wide the exterior concourse. That would cost 3 times that 100 million.
Hopefully Belmont will proceed after the politicians play the game and delay it to listen to all the community concerns and appease the nah sayers.

Really though, I don't think Barzal should be above any criticism, but I don't think it's too surprising that he might hit a rough patch as he figures out being responsible for driving the team's offense during the most intense and meaningful games he’s seen so far in his very short career.

I'd be more concerned if it looked like he was mailing it in and losing interest, but I think he just has some stuff to work through that only experience will teach, and I don't have too much doubt that he'll figure it out and come roaring back...the guy loves to shine in the biggest games.

Good. He shouldn’t have picked on poor retarded Leddy. Very low class of him.

McDavid is really impressive. It's not easy to score an OT GWG after you've been ejected.

I hope it includes another area below the arena on the other side. There is nothing there but a parking lot. It would be very easy to have another lower promenade for bathrooms and concessions. Then you would have all lower seats using those Bathrooms which is a HUGE issue at that place.

From Down Goes Brown's Athletic article:

From the headlines
The trade deadline is on Monday, and it could be a busy weekend. This year, there are still several major names in play, so we could see some blockbusters over the next few days.

It’s important to be as familiar as possible with all of the players on the block, so I’ve asked the DGB Scouting Network to file reports on some of the key names. Here’s what you need to know about the biggest trade targets still on the block.

Matt Duchene – Doesn’t want to get carried away with the guarantees here, but has assured interested teams that he’s pretty sure his next playoff goal will be the biggest one he ever scored.

Jonathan Huberdeau – Is the sort of guy you really have to trade now rather than let walk away for nothing, assuming you are the Panthers and there’s another expansion draft coming up.

Micheal Ferland – On a true Stanley Cup contender, could provide a fiendishly tough matchup for the guy in charge of correctly inscribing names on the trophy.

Nick Jensen – Is the sort of deadline day addition that will have one lucky fan base excitedly pretending to know who Nick Jensen is.

Wayne Simmonds – Will provide exactly the sort of big, physical presence that any contending team will need if they run into a matchup with the 2011 Bruins.

Kevin Hayes – Rumors say he might land the Rangers a first-round pick, which would be great as long as they don’t spend it on some punk college kid who never signs there, mutters Stan Bowman.

Eeli Tolvanen – Might be related to that other Eeli Tolvanen who we were constantly told was the world’s best prospect like a few months ago.

Sergei Bobrovsky – Based on his track record in Columbus, could really help out a team that was worried about the possibility of an embarrassing first-round exit by removing all the suspense.

Marcus Johansson – Is the kind of deadline day name who can really make you realize you probably didn’t need to take the whole day off.

Mark Stone – Is such a dynamic two-way player that he’d undoubtedly be a multi-time Selke Trophy winner if wingers were eligible for that award.

Justin Faulk – Will hear his name a lot on deadline day, although most of that will just be an increasingly desperate James Duthie expressing frustration over the quality of the breaking news they keep handing him.

Artemi Panarin – Any team that acquires him will have four months to show him around town and let him fall in love with the city, which no doubt will come in super handy next season when he comes in during road trips with the Panthers.

I was surprised it wasn’t 5 and a game. Said so as they were showing us the replay last night. Then I got verbally mobbed for daring to say such things. Might even have gotten myself excommunicated.

He's a very special player.. Speed, size, great hands. He is fun to watch. Sadly we kept the puck away from him the whole OT until He scored. Soon as he had it you knew we were toast.

Rumblings of a trade between the
@Senators and @BlueJacketsNHL

Players removed from the ice with the AHL club this morning. NO information in terms of what level of deal this might be. Stay tuned.

Not sure but let’s hope it doesn’t go that route and Belmont becomes a reality.

If extensive Reno is done at the Coli it means playing a BC full time until it’s completed. Don’t know if that’s an option.
