Seriously, what’s plan B? I’m sure Lou has one and a good one at that, but I wonder what it is?
- Jethro09

Ek for once brings up a good point, he his telling teams who are out tomorrow but if the isles won why drag it out? The longer it goes the worse it is. Sick dangle by wahlstrom👍

Take a step back and try to build around Barzal.

If JT leaves I would think ROR is the first hit on Lou’s list. Great 2nd C behind Barzal.

Because if JT leaves they are shat up the middle

No issue with ROR salary if JT leaves.

Barzal is what makes Tavares leaving (if he does) somewhat palatable I mean he topped all but one of tavares point totals as a rookie and you.can say he was sheltered.....but at the end of the year he saw the opposition's's better defenders. If they get panarin up front and d and goal they wont be the same as Tavares but not that far off

Get a top goalie, shore up the D, put Barzal and Ebs on the top line and then let Trotz do his thing.

Probs a real good fit behind Barzy if JT leaves.

He’s totally right. It only gets dragged out because he’s signing as a UFA somewhere else.

I love Barzy and the kid is going to be a star, but it’s going to be hard to replicate what he did last year if he’s 1C and not 2C

Grab Van Riemsdyk and ROR. Depending on where he goes, teams are going to need space. Maybe the little poop from TB cant think his name right now. Johnson maybe?

If Boston’s looking to move Kjreici (sp) I would try to get him as well or ROR

Yea he will always get the top opponents but what he has and jt doesn't is skating. Not just skating but elite skating that most cant keep up with like McDavid. He has great vision and creates space for himself on the ice, JT has a better shot but playmaking ability is on par and skating is barzal all day. He clearly needs to prove he can be a #1 center if jt leaves but he has the ability to do it. ROR is a great player but two or three steps down from jt

Remember Barzy had JT here last year so there were 2 lines to watch.
JT bounces Barzy is flanked by the number 1 d line and d pair.

Correct sentance one, also he did play about an even amount of minutes vs top pair second half of last year.

I'm sure there'd be interest on the Islanders side, who knows about from Stastny. I'd love ROR but the ask is allegedly a 1st+2nd+top prospect. I'd do it if they consider Bellows a top prospect, but anything like Wahlstrom or Dobson and I'd pass. I'd probably consider moving Toews, too.

Easy there, carrying the load is a lot different then sharing.

JT was for sure the piece teams needed to stop pre game.

1st 2nd and top prospect too steep for ROR. Would the Isles not need Toews this year as well?

I dunno. Seems to me you can't move Toews, unless you have a solid plan to shore up the D without him.

This will be very unpopular, but I think if JT leaves, at least a partial rebuild is necessary. Too many holes, in goal, on D, and in the bottom 6. It may take a while for Lou to jettison some of Garth's contracts that I have to think were given out, because they were friends of Tavares.

Do you think Dobson makes him expendable? Above average skater good on offense plays pp and pk, similar to pulock in some ways. 1 2 and toews/bellows for oriely? Pretty steep ask

If JT leaves which I don’t think he does Ses, ROR and Kriecji (sp) are on my target list.

I agree. If JT leaves then they are a one line team again. They already have bad D and no starting goalie. There are no trades that make them a contender in one or two years.

No doubt because he one of the reasons why we didn’t make the POs as per Garth

JT leaves in all honesty a retooling is in order.
