Noel Fogelman: Isles 16/17 Report Cards - Thomas Hickey

I agree with the grade Noel. Hickey had some good moments with the Isles, but does not have the size or the speed to keep up the solid play.

He did regress a bit this year and I hope he's the guy that's claimed by Vegas however if dehaan is exposed then I see him being taken. Does dehaam fall into a loophole of not having a contract? I think he has to be exposed

Me too, but I am skeptical we'll see that.

D+ was a little generous. Hickey was consistently bad this season. Leave him exposed and hope he's chosen by Vegas. DeHaan should be protected. He showed improvement this season, while Hickey was regressing.

Maybe it was all in Hickey's master plan. Do just enough to not get waived traded or released, but be bad enough for Vegas to not want him. Maybe he doesn't want to leave the female genitaliary club.

TJ plays about 6'6 and will not disappear in the big spot. Will take Isles fans some time to get use to players not shrinking when needed the most.
