Nash is already over the hill. 32 & getting worse every year. If the Rangers could unload him anywhere I would take it & move the fack on.

Close to signing Schenn? It was reported an hour ago by others that he's signed a 2 year deal with them.

Rangers will have to eat a lot of Nash's paycheck to move him.

Rusty, I think you're being a bit harsh on Nash. 32 really isn't that old for an NHL forward and yes he had a rough year but it happens and he can bounce back. He finally showed up in the playoffs albeit in a limited sample size too.

Is Nashville tight on the cap? I don't see it being a fit and would probably involve numerous pieces from both teams being moved.

Rangers would have to eat at least 2 - 3 mil per year to get this done.

How so? Based on what players make. 20 goal scorers get 5 mil+

The only teams willing to trade for Nash are probably contenders, and most contenders are capped out. It will be difficult to fit Nash under their cap unless they send equal money back or we retain salary.

They have 8+ in cap space. I just don't see a fit in terms of whose coming back unless it's a multi player deal.

We are better off keeping him. He only has this year and next left.
If we retained 2-3 ml, what would you expect to get for 4 mil.
He could be moved during the season without retaining salary to a team
who loses a big player.

I could see retaining money if he had 4-5 years left on his deal

Straight up for Johansen. Nashville has too many centers anyway

Rangers down the middle: Johansen, Stepan, Zib, Jooris/Lindberg.

He has 12 teams he submits to every year he can be traded to. No one knows who those teams are but the only thing we know is no Canadian teams were on the list.

Wouldn't mind johnansen but it would take more than just Nash straight up. They just gave up Seth Jones for him.
