From what I've read, it looks like Detroit is going hard after Radulov and just signed a prospect from San Jose that seems like Tyler Bertuzzi part 2. They refuse to dump Ericsson. I just can't get a feel for what they are going for. Do they want to be big and slow? Just frustrated that the brass can't let go of players that have shown they can't play. Hoping something "amazing" happens this summer. If Backes were really available, I'd take him in a heartbeat. Troy Brouwer if he's not. Maybe Anaheim lets go of someone big? Just spitballing and incredibly frustrated.
Radulov is a rumour, and could be a cheap signing.
UFA moves may depend on whether Pavel Datsyuk retires (likely) AND whether they can trade his deal to a team that wants cap hit for no real $$$$; that would make them serious bidders.
