I expect an extensive injury list. I think I may be disappointed otherwise.

Bill,

What are your opinions on Gudas potential deal? I think they are only going to have to QO him at 1.4 million.

Do you think he gets something like 3 years or does he probably get a 1 year deal with guy like Morin probably getting closer.

That Schenn hit warrants a hearing? None of the capital"s cheap shots deserve one?

Do they have to be asked to review a hit from a team, or does the NHL take the "out of the hat" approach to which hit to review?

They should have had a hearing on his cheap shot to the knee. Maybe the capitals hitching paid off?

Once the league announces a hearing, a suspension almost always follows (I can only think of a couple times when it did not).

I think one of those times was when they bent over backwards to let Wilson getting away with skating the entire width of the ice to smash Schenn into the boards. A play that was 10 times more dangerous than this nothing hit on Oshie.

I don't know why Gudas wouldn't be in their longer range plan being he is only 25.

I agree. I feel like they need him. Especially after what I witnessed in this playoff series.

Some say Morin can be that guy, but he isn't yet.

Not everyone can be in your longterm plans.

They have guys like Provorov, Gostisbehere, Morin, Sanheim, Myers, Hagg.

Gudas is nice but at some point maybe the Flyers want a defenseman with a different skill set the Gudas. Especially if Morin can provide the physical play that Gudas does with maybe a little more offense.

"This is what he does! When he's not scoring goals, this is how he gets himself into the game. This is what he needs to do to be involved. When he's playing like this, he can change the game!"

What I witnessed was a team that had trouble moving puck out of there zone.

Lack of scoring from the defense.

Top line struggled.

Nothing that Gudas was really going to fix.

Not sure what is soo bad. Ovechkin never changes his path.

Gostisbehere falls because he tries to jump out of the hit.

What I witnessed was a team defense getting pounded by a bigger stronger group of forwards who had no fear of getting pounded back. And what I witnessed was that Gudas was probably our best defenseman in the series because of it.

Yeah, this was more Ghost falling to avoid being crushed than OV going after his knee. He doesn't stick out his leg because he has about 1/4 second between going for the hit and Ghost changing his path.

So if we had more Hatchers, Grossmanns, Hall gills we would have been fine?

Oh no, don't do that. Listing bigger player who aren't mobile, even though the complaint was about needing bigger bodies, makes you a troll...or something.

Not sure if your agreeing or not.

I just don't think his leg moves. I have even tried to slow it down but he doesn't seem to move from his path at all.

but also you can't expect them to hit on every prospect. having MDZ, Gudas, and Ghost up now, can alleviate the time you have with some of the prospects in order not to rush them. from what i see and read i feel like sanheim may need another year, same with morin, and hagg just hasnt taken his game to that next level yet. provorov i believe is ready to make the jump and ive heard that myers' game has taken incredible leaps. he may need a year or two but ive heard his progression is almost sanheim-esque. its an exciting time, but gudas should definitely be in their plans, at least for the next 2-3 years.

Ovechkin charges from multiple counties over to deliver 80% of his hits. But he gets a pass, because hypocrisy rules over the stars of the league. That's the point.

Also, this is a knee on knee.
