Happy New Year! Watching the outdoor game and seeing highlights of the alumni game,
Its a shame they didnt bring you in to work the alumni game! That would have been very appropriate and Im sure a thrill for you

Thank you. I did ref the Legends Game at the 2010 Winter Classic at Fenway when it was the Alumni Game was an "unofficial" event. The NHL did not invite me to officiate a Gillette even though I live nearby. Such is life. I am very happy to see my old friend and brother referee Don Garcia -- an ECAC Supervisor who refs a lot of the Bruin Alumni games -- working the game at Gillette. Also, after many years of skating and working a lot of big games, it is time for others to have that chance. The war horse in me wants to work every game, but you must pass the torch. Stephan and Don did a great job. I still got to take my sons to the WC events.

Great stories, but are you sure it was all Brad and Mike at the Chinese Restaurant? Can't imagine you weren't an active participant. I mean it was $9.95 all you can eat wouldn't even put a dent in your per diem

Happy New Year
