I am gonna go ahead and say there is more evidence to support my statement, I don't need you to agree or confirm it

I'll agree that Quick can be inconsistent and have hot and cold streaks. However, when he's on, there's no save he can't make. He wasn't terrible in the first three games of the season, as the defense left him high and dry with awful turnovers, although I would agree that he wasn't on top of his game like he was to start out last season.

In his two wins, however, he was spectacular. He made several quality saves against Colorado and stood on his head against Minnesota. It appears that he is on the beginning of a hot streak.

Being unable to watch the game vs. SJS, how did the 4th line perform?

Only noticeable replay was that Nolan and Marleau were both on the ice when SJS scored their lone goal. And did not Nolan have his hands on Pavelski after an Enroth cover? If that was the case, was it just a simple mismatch from an icing or was DeBoer's paying them more attention all night? (pardon me, i missed the game. only managed to catch Gamecenter's [free] 5-min replay)

EDM is outscoring opponents 14-4 (give or take) on their current 3-win streak. Any insights on that relating to our 4th line?

The Kings 4th line last night was left exposed and naked on the ice against quality players from San Jose since the Kings were on the road. They were horrendous in my opinion, and completely dominated by the competition.

I didn't think it was that bad. They crashed they banged. Nolan took a reputation penalty. Otherwise, it seemed they were rolled regularly.

Lucic is settling in. Great pass to Toffy....too many shots allowed but Kings pretty much controlled play with the exception of some periods of pressure by the canes. Kings have totally redeemed themselves.......wtf happened in the first 3?........it was ugly, let's just sweep those games under the rug

So this sort of seems like the classic case of you can use stats to suggest anything you want depending on how you use the stats. I have thought that our 4th line overall has been pretty bad this year in terms of the eye test, and I think Sutter has shown he agrees based on the minutes he's played them, averaging 7 min a game so far. They had one of their best offensive games last night and were awarded with 10-ish min each.
Looking on War on Ice our 4th line has faced the softest competition on the team so far (based on TOI/60 of comp), and been given reasonable zone starts (although Andreoff oddly has had the most defensive zone starts on the team and stand apart from his linemates, makes you wonder about the accuracy of the stat). But have amongst the worst corsi on the team, the worst PDO on the team, the worst shot differential, the worst high danger scoring chance differential...pretty much just not good. It would be interesting to look at 4th lines overall but given that they've played against the softest competition we are looking at their stats against 4th lines and they're not good.
That being the case it seems easy to make the argument that Mersch and Weal should be given a chance sooner than later to make the Kings a 4 line team.
