Lesfs played well last night, they were all over Detroit for long stretches but had trouble converting the opportunities to goals. We all know this year and next will be the toughest years in the rebuild. What we can be encouraged about is the play of our guys that will be trade bait at deadline, and hope they do well. There were also some bright spots last night............

The ice time Gardner and Reilly got was huge, and I love watching those guys.
VanReimsdyke broke a sweat......good to see.
Kadri got close to breaking a sweat.......also good to see.
Harrington looked enthusiastic with promise.
Mathias looked like Getzlaf on a couple of plays.
Power play was pretty exciting to watch....little sloppy but will improve.

What we need is LOU to pull a rabbit outta his.......trade hat.....and get us a real goaltender......Ive lost faith in Bernier ever being that guy......seems disinterested.

Seems counter productive to the leafs

If he wants to sign with Toronto wait and make it happen. Why give up assets just to pay him theost on the market.
If he is in it for the money though, I don't think it's a stretch to suggest close to 12 mill per

Only way we want Stammer is as an off season UFA signing. Between salary and endorsement contracts he would make a killing in the centre of the Universe!!

Final lineup pretty much what was expected save for maybe Harrington over Percy, although it seemed like Babs favoured him most of camp so not much of a surprise.
