I wouldn't expect much from Sven in his first year. If Vrbata is not playing top line his numbers will drop

Benning has a problem then, not quite clear on suggesting Vey may be a goal scorer though? Guess that's why I'm not a scout.

No problem , they will hold a town hall meeting , smooth it over.

They'll have to score by committee again. With Richardson, Kassian & Matthias leaving from the forward group, that's 36 goals combined, younger players like Vey, Baertschi & Horvat will have to step up and close that gap.

I don't expect them to fully close it, but they should all increase their numbers from last year...one would hope anyways. Horvat had 13, Vey had 10 & Baertschi had 2, that's 25 goals. I could see Horvat getting 18? Vey getting 16 & Baertschi getting 14, which is an increase of 23.

Lightning Sign Veteran Jeff Tambellini....good for him to get back in the NHL. Hope he has a good camp.

I guess they'll either re-sign for a significant discount for being 2nd or 3rd liners or do what other Swedes have done and either retire or lace them up for a couple of years back in Sweden with a much reduced schedule. Don't think they'll waive their NTC's as I'm sure they want to control how they end their careers.

If we do it will be a wild card spot. If it takes 95 points to get in maybe if it takes 98 points to get in I doubt we do.

LA is poised for a bounce back season.

San Jose I think could be better or worse. Coaching is a question mark. Aging core. Bad management.

Edmonton I still question if they will get better as their Defence and Goaltending still suck.

Calgary could do very well because of their Defence improvements and secure net as well as a young offensive core that should be just as good.

Phoenix will be the bottom of the league for sure yet again as they have no offence no defence and there goaltending sucks. (Mike Smith should have been bought out)

Anaheim will be tops in our division and probably the league again. Losing Belesky will hurt a little but they are deep. I don't think they will win a cup though at least not with Bruce Budreau as coach.

That is just our division. Lots of other teams trending upwards before us.
