- DynamicThreads

Well, I was genuinely curious as to whether it was possible, but completely not serious about the offer.

I was actually hoping you were lurking and showed up to comment, oh joy!

But, I seem to remember you saying at some point that management is slightly disappointed in his development/progress?

Not about Landy, he is everything he was advertised to be. He was never going to be a ppg player, natural leader who hits like a truck and stands up for his team mates.

20-25g, 55-60pt guy who has 200+ hits a season, there is nothing to be negative about with him.

If anyone was commenting about being sour on his development, it wasn't me. And if they were, they really didn't follow him at the draft and what his projections were suppose to be. Just looking at 2nd overall and assume he should be a Malkin or Kane by now bc of the draft spot.

For perspective, Girgensons could end up like that type of production.

Hmm, I'm not sure who said that then. Anyway, I've liked him since he came into the league. Seems like a true Power Forward. I don't see many flaws in his game and wouldn't expect more out of him then what he already produces. I also didn't realize he was a 2nd overall. So I never expect big numbers out of him.

But Colorado are one of my 3 favorite teams, and the only Western Conference team I root for, so I'm fine with him being there. But obviously I'm a Sabres fan and would love to have a player like him here. Hell of a player.

Could, but not there yet. I like Girg but he needs to putting up bigger numbers on a consistent level soon. This season should be big for him taking the next steps in his development. Should start to really see what he is all about since he is getting close to 200 NHL games of experience

I love Girgensons as much as the next guy but I'd take Landeskog over him in a heartbeat. Its not even close, even if he puts up similar numbers.

Yup hes a heart and soul guy. Only thing that bugs me about Landy is that he does take some really dumb penalties at times. He is fired up on Piss and Vinegar some shifts. Hurts his team when he doesn't play level headed.

Avs are in a weird spot right now, really will define what this team is going to be for the next decade in the way the handle the next 2 seasons with ROR, EJ, Mack, and Barrie needing new contracts.

So they won't be trading any of their young guys under contract. EJ should be straight forward and they will pay him his cash. Mack and Barrie are RFAs and could wait till next summer. ROR is the elephant in the room. Get that done, move him, whatever the direction is. It can't go into next season.

I'm 56 and can fondly recall Punch. The Robert trade goes down as one of the best trades the Sabres ever made. I think he traded Eddie Shack for Robert. Maybe we'll find our Rene Robert this summer.

I heard today that Hanifin might not be the 1st defenseman taken from one of the NHL.com writers.

If the Coyotes are fielding offers for pick #3 are Strome, Marner and Hanifin perhaps not as good as we think? When was the last top 3 pick dealt?

I'd pass on him as well, he fit into the Wild's system and players. Before that he was average

"The Buffalo Sabres have been in possession of one of the strongest prospects in the hockey world since acquiring Sam Reinhart second overall in the 2014 NHL Draft."
