That contract is a major encumberance. No way any team should willing take that on.

Meh, Bruins have much worse contracts. Seids earns more of his 4 mil than Kelly does his 3. 2nd half of the season he was noticeably better. Keep him, trade chara, give the C the bergy

I agree with you about his contract. How is he over paid at $4 million coming off his ACL recovery?
Think Gronk.

This coming season Seidenberg and Chara will be equally as effective as shut down D-men. In fact Seidenberg may have a better season than Chara as I'm betting that Chara's size is going to quicken his drop off in play more than the German's.

So, which contract is a better value? The one that isn't should be the one shopped around more.

you mean between seids and Chara or seids and kelly or the whole roster?

I was referring to the Chara vs. Seidenberg argument.

But, you can go though the whole roster that way. That's what I try to do, and that's how I think to myself who should go and who should stay.

Too many people try to look at the player and use emotion and hope to evaluate players on this team, but if you try to step back from those things and think about a $$ amount to each player............

I think that's the best way to look at this roster right now. No emotion or prayer.

Edit......except for Bergy. Nobody touches him.
