Burmistrov was a high pick and all, but if he couldn't handle Noel, how can he handle the toronto circus?

I know he is still pretty young, but he was a 20-30 pt guy in the NHL and only 6th on his KHL team in scoring? Is he strong defensively?

He's very good defensively, it was his calling card for being drafted so early and why he was rushed to the NHL. Sadly, I doubt he's more than a 40 pointish Peter Holland kind of player. The Thrashers gambled on him way too early and then (frank)ed him over with their development. Noel hated him and several players, all of whom turned the tables when he left. Noel was a joke...though considering where the Leafs are atm, it's hard to question if they aren't as big of a joke...
