Good riddance to the generic white out.
Teams could try to market the unique home colors a little more. A Boston Black-Out, AZ Red Alert, Toronto Blue Mystery (will the leafs ever be good? will the fans make some noise?).
Someone with a sliver of creativity should be able to come up with a lot better ideas than my half-assed ones. |

I do see you're point about marketing, but everything can't be about marketing. White on the road is just wrong.

Johnny Gaudreau doesn't even like being called Johnny Hockey, but for some reason the announcers keep forcing it on him.
I like the home teams wearing the dark jersey's. Especially with the Penguins third set being the throw back to the early 90's look. |

Ehh, lightning have a really strong (and deep) lineup but they have a little proving left to do before I'd consider them cup favorites over teams like the Kings or Ducks. |

Maybe, but the fact is, the only way you can prove you're a contender is to win, so I find that to be a kind of defeatist, circular kind of logic - if that's all we use as a measuring stick then we're always looking to the past. I think the Lightning have a better roster than anyone in hockey. Nothing says they actually win the Cup, since there's a lot of luck involved, but no doubt they have one of the deepest, most talented teams in the NHL. |

I, as well, hate white jerseys. I want to see my team colors at home games, as well as their alts. Why should the team you root for wear all the fun jerseys on the road, for the other teams fans to enjoy? |

Ha! I never would have suspected people would be so adamant about this. My defense is the worst - it's how it used to be so it should stay that way! I guess the NHL was on to something when they made the change. |
