Is Lindberg Ottawa's 2nd round pick this year? If so he's supposed to be worth a look at. Curious to see how he plays as Dorion was stated as thinking he was first round material.

no your referring to Andreas Englund a defender, lindberg was selected in 2013, 4round 102 overall.

That defence is just awful - though I suppose it will showcase the likes of Claesson and Harpur. I'll be interested to hear who emerges from this tournament as the most promising forwards heading into camp, though. Puempel and Lazar should stand-out, but Guptill, Prince, and Dzingel are intriguing offensive players, and there are some interesting supporting players there like Paul, McCormick, Dunn, and Thompson. Does anyone know if they're planning to televise these games on more than some kind of local community UHF station, or at least have videos available online afterwards?

Hopefully the exciting news is that Ryan is 'coming in hot' with a long-term contract extension.

I would say Paul, Prince and Dzingel are intriguing and Guptill is more in the second group, but otherwise agreed.

Too bad we couldn't get a look at Englund in this tourny.

I would assume that any potential partner would also get shares in Capital Tickets and Capital Sports Management.

I don't think anyone with that much money would be dumb enough to be satisfied with just getting a part of the losing operation while the other two make money.

Probably Cowen.

The D is going to be horrible this year. The forwards are going to have to insulate the crap out of them.

I have a feeling we are going to see a defensive team this year that relies on wining low scoring games.

The Sens have enough decent forwards to score goals, but they will probably have to focus on their own end more than anything.

hoping to see Buddy Robinson rip it up again this year. also, looking forward to hear more about Ryan Dzingel. he is sounding like a good player and amazing pick in the 7th round.

thanks for the reply ! i think your forwards + karlsson will get the job done offensively, if anderson can play his true game then you might have a similar season to tampas last year, good young offense, great goalie, one elite defenseman and the rest of the defenseman are "meh",

TB's 'meh' Dmen are way better than Ottawa's.

I agree with everything except for the Cowen part... I'm sure he'll get his chances to play with Karlsson, but I think there's a much greater chance of Methot continuing to get the majority of those minutes. One thing I'm really not a fan of is the idea of Karlsson and Wiercioch together... if they had a large number of puck-moving defencemen then fine, give it a go. But they really don't have that luxury, and I think they would be wise to get the most out of any and every defenceman who can actually handle the puck with some degree of competence.

If Cowen bounces back, then him.

If not, either Weircioch or else Methot again.

As a whole, our D is a complete question mark. Young guys take a small step forward, it'll be ok. young guys take a big step forward, it will be a good unit. young guys fail to progress, terrible unit.

I don't think the casino issue is entirely dead. I would not be surprised that Ottawa Sports and Entertainment will be trying to take control of the Ottawa Senators. I have believed this as being one of the stronger possibilities since this time last year.

“Neither Ferguslea Properties Limited nor Dan Greenberg nor any affiliated entities have any ownership or financial interest in the Ottawa Senators, regardless, we continue to strongly support the ownership, management, players and members of the Ottawa Senators organization.”

Clever statement. Interest as it is used here means an actual financial position today. It does not preclude the possibility of any type of partnership or buy out tomorrow.
