come on man we still have Thornton, Marleau, Hertl, Couture, Pavelski, Nieto, Wingles, Sheppard, Demers, Vlassic not exactly gooning it up
a 4th line signing is pretty much irrelevant

Scott is quite possibly the worst player in the NHL.

Hopefully he only dresses in retribution of a cheap shot or two.

Seriously though, the Sharks aren't gonna go into next season with the same roster right?

I see a whole of dumb penalties in the near future for SJ.

it did wonders for the sabres. the sabres didn't play the same way after john scott knocked out shawn thornton. it gave them more backbone knowing scott was backing them up. this could be what the sharks need

No offense, but Scott will do nothing for them, just like he did nothing for the Sabres

How will Scott help them prevent a 3-0 series collapse from the press box exactly?

There's still a lot of top-six talent, but you bottom lines have to be able to carry water. Look at Pittsburgh for the evidence of that. These signings don't improve the team at all, so what's the point?

Sharks are becoming a joke.

- No movement on Michael Del Zotto when we are very thin on D. He's 24 and younger than even Tennyson!
- Then DW keep signing these terrible players. 2 years ago Burish, last year Kenedy, now McGinn and Scott. gimme a break

maybe he is trying to scare Marleau and Thornton out of town

McGinn is actually a pretty decent player we were sad to see him go. Got called up from the Phantoms, scored 4 goals in 18 games on the third line with Coots and played some decent two way hockey. He might surprise you.

Wouldn't mind the Sharks making a run for Del Zotto, he's probably a project at this point, but at least he had talent at one time and is a worthy risk.

Don't mind the Tye McGinn move.

Hate the John Scott move and the Mike Brown move. Brown probably would have taken $1.2M over two years. Burish was the dumbest contract I can remember in recent years.....the moment the ink dried.

I am from buffalo and root for the sharks in the west. Scott played here the past two years. He is not a goon, a cheap shot player and he does not take bad penalties. A goon is a guy who hits late or after the whistle or try's to get away with bs play. Scott is a fighter who will square up with anyone. He will also stand up for your top end players. You may not see the value in that but I bet his teammates do. No, he is not going to score and he may not dress all the time, but there will be situations where the team and fans are happy he is around. Good luck to the team next season.
