Tess misses the Vancouver days. Now he writes a blog and gets 10 Canucks fans in here talking about Kane to Vancouver , 10 Leaf fans trying to dump off Phanuef and 5 other fans to discuss his blog.

Exactly if I want comments and comments on most blogs here are less than 3% page views, I'll troll you all better

Well Jets finished ahead of Leafs and Canucks so we can't do too much trolling.

To me, the third anniversary should mean OK, we gouged everyone we could by making a different jersey, but having the worst logo in prosports is not cool, so let's go back to the old classic.

In some ways the relationship between Chipman and Thomson appears to be similar to that of the Griffiths family and McCaws of the 1990’s Canucks. For anyone who wants to understand that relationship history I’d be happy to tell you about it some time. It’s not what you think it was

I'd be interested in hearing it, It would make for an good read

It was testy, it was based on economic might and a guy who pushed his family wealth too far and once he had lost leverage and control it became some one else's. The 'security blanket' became a cell of sorts.

In three years from now they will be where they currently are. They will continue to give former Thrashers extensions, sign guys like Olli Jokinen (whose teams which have never made the playoffs with him on the opening day roster), pick up more guys off of waivers, not make any trades, and keep preaching patience to the fan base. This franchise is making more money then they let on. Ticket prices go up every year, TN is making almost all the revenue off of concerts, the Shark Club and all TN property around the arena. That's not even including merchandising and Jets TV. They talk about Winnipeg being a small market and based on size it is, but they are definitely making Major market money!

Being an Oilers fan I think you would already know that past behaviour is a good indicator of future performance. How many times have the Oilers picked in the top 10 since 2005?

5 times. But I don't feel the need to be overly negative. Sure, it's taking longer than anyone wants, but building a 23 man roster from damn near scratch is hard. I don't feel any major, irreversible mistakes have been made and we will eventually break out. Too much talent not to. Still, we need the right supporting cast of vets to arrive quickly.

Too bad they came when he was fringe third liner on Carolina and Chicago, and that none of them came while playing on this franchise.
