now i can wear that reading royals jersey i bought at the yard sale for $5 w/ pride!!
also, the kings have to win game 7 or i can't watch the scf......it would just be to embarrassing to have both team's fans singing stupid songs after they score (although the rags one isn't nearly as bad as that infectious waste that they sing in chicago)

If the cup finals ends up being Chicago vs NYR I may lose it. At least with LA I can find a rooting interest.

I really thought LA was going to win last night. I want them to win. But selfishly, I'm kind of glad that Chicago won last night. Because now we get another game to watch of fantastic Hockey.

Good point

As long as the western champ crushes satan's spawn aka the Rangers, I will be happy!

It really has been a great series. So many game 7's this year, it's crazy.

I thought I could not hate him more. And yet it gets worse every stinking game.

The Royals are a fun time, and one of the two or three reasons I will venture over the Penn St. Bridge. I don't live out that way anymore, but I do like traveling out for Royals games.

So what becomes of the previous players in situations like these? Are they retained? Do they fight for roster spots with the ECHLers the Flyers already have? There are so many scenarios that can happen depending on if the Caps move to another ECHL city or pull out if te league completely, as well as if the Flyers old affiliate continues to exist under a new NHL club or is shut down.

I swear I've seen a few Royals stay through their franchise affiliation swaps before. Kinda wondered how that worked. We're their deals up and they just inked with the new guys? Or did they only have deals with the ECHL team and not their NHL affiliate?

I really liked Raffl all over the lineup. I was really surprised with his physical style because he's not that big and he came over from Europe. He was hitting everything in sight.

I'm hoping Laughton is ready to nail down a bottom 6 roster spot this year. If he does there's not much room for another European Experiment on this team.

Why the hell would you root for LA?If they win another cup with Richie and Carter this current Flyers core is NEVER going to hear the end of it. As much as I hate to say it the Hawks or Rags can have this one. LA wins another and the moaning from the beat writers and negative nancys will drive just about every sane Flyers fan to insanity.

Thanks, Bill.

I would imagine the older the player, the harder the transition to the NHL, not only because of the elevated skill level, but also because of cultural and language differences, and the pressures of performing in the best league in the world. I would imagine it's easy to let all that mess with your head.

You'll never hear the end of it from Rangers fans if they win, either. I think we have to root for Chicago.

Raffl rocks. Hard worker if there ever was one.

Yeah, I'm hoping for the same thing from Laughton. Hopefully he's ready. If not, sending him to the AHL for a year won't be the worst thing to happen, especially with them being in Allentown this coming season.

I can't stand any of them, so it's a wash for me. I do like the idea of a collapse by LA after leading 3 games to 1, cause that's got to hurt, but Chicago hasn't won anything yet.

Did that mess with the Trenton Titans ever get sorted out? I remember they up and closed shop, taking all the season ticket holder money with them.

But why anyone would even buy season tickets for an ECHL team is beyond me tbh.

Because Richards and carter didn't trade themselves, why can't I root for guys that almost won us a cup and may have done so again if they stayed?

Edit: Do you actually read the beat writers?
