Is anything worthwhile in Hamilton to call up before playoffs?

Dumont - Always plays with Energy
Andrighetto - Has a pretty good Shot% along with 30 pts in 40 games
Tarnasky - Would like to see what he could do back at the NHL level
Pateryn - Best plus/minus in Hamilton

Bourque and Moen should be shut down come playoff time. Hopefully Briere, Gio, and Eller start to show up any day now...

Couldn't have said it better...

With these new additions i believe Bourque and Briere need to open their eyes and actually compete for a spot in the lineup.

Put it this way, Bournival deserves to play. The kid has a heart bigger than the whole team. And Weise brings energy....

Some of these guys need to realize that they are replaceable. keep them on the shelf until they proove us wrong.

Agree with Bourque but not Moen. Moen has never been a fighter but he is extremely effective on the PK. But then again, it will be depend on who is healthy right.

I agree the lines should change:

If this was my team I would load up the top 2 lines with pure offense and go:

67-51-11
27-14-20
48-81-21
8-53-22

As for Murray on D. He is going to be very valuable for us in a playoff run but only if JJ Daigneault limits his minutes. He cannot be playing 18-22 minutes a game because that s just nuts. He needs to be limited in the 12-14 minutes a game area meaning more ice time for PK.

Murray needs PK, some limited 5 on 5 and keep his body fresh. Otherwise those legs tire quickly and he because completely irrelevant.

You are 100% right on that, and how could i forget about the Habs PK unit? They are only on the ice 65% of the game.

Moen, Prust, Pleks, White all play key roles on the PK.

Do you see Bournival fitting in anywhere with Vanek in the lineup?

I could see this happening with Briere replacing Bournival. That Plek, Gio, Briere line has been pretty good when together. we know eller galchenyuk and gallagher work. we know pacioretty and desharnais work and hopefully adding someone with vanek's skill can fit in on with them.

fourth line could be made up for 5 different guys depending on the game. not bad.

For your D pairings, beaulieu might get called up but that's only because Hamilton has no shot at the playoffs. don't think he'll play over murray.

and they're not keeping tokarski ahead of budaj, he has the contract. and he's a damn good backup goalie but that means price needs to stay healthy. when price is back budaj will get you those wins between price's starts.

Bournival had 2 points in his last 30 games. Why the hell are we worried about where he would fit in with Vanek when we shouldn't have been worried about where hit fit without Vanek???

Stop playing Vanek on a shutdown line. It's stupid and goes against every reason he was brought in. If you want to play him with Plek, Put Galchenyuk on the other wing. If not, Play him with DD and Pacioretty or Eller and Galchenyuk. Gionta is useless on offense at this point and is just being used as a 3rd liner.

"Douglas Murray, had a grand total of ZERO hits against the Bruins."

Enough already! Bring up Nathan Beaulieu and/or Greg Pateryn. Guys that will play their hearts out every night just for the fact they want an opportunity to play with the big club.

I actually feel bad for Vanek coming into this mess. He def. will not resign with the habs next season.

Say what you want to say, I can't imagine a playoff spot is locked for these guys if they continue to play like this.

Give the kid Tokarski the start at home against Ottawa, Can't remember the last time Budaj has seen this much action...
