When it comes to up front, I keep flip flopping but would seriously look at dealing Plekanec or Eller. I love the Plekanec, and IMO he should be the next captain but Galchenyuk needs to play the center ice position and Plekanec would fetch one heck of a return IMO.

You got me wrong, I love PK, and under the right management he will be an elite player. If you are not going to permit him to be the player that he can be then what is the purpose. He is a thoroughbred, an offensive D man with a lot of potential, why hasn't management traded or purchased the right partner to play and compliment his style. Instead the keep trying to break him to be a trotter. All I have been saying, as ridiculous as it sounds, is that if he isn't going to be permitted to be the player he can, as an elite D man trade him for an elite forward.

PK is 24 coming off a Norris. I question his use at times and I'm no fan of Therrien, but PK has improved since the new regime has come on board. I think you're over reacting.

I agree with Galchenyuk playing center and trading Plek would probably bring back more then Eller. Eller will be a productive 2way player that will anchor our 3rd line for the future. Pleks and Markov are 2 players that contending Teams will be more interested in, rather then 17 and 61 and 48.

My thoughts exactly. I can see Hitcock for instance being interested in Plekanec or a team like the Pens wanting Markov.

I would see if we can pull off a Markov to Pittsbugh for Pouliot? Maybe Plekanec to St. Louis for MPS and a 1st?

MB and Duds know the Chicago team inside out maybe Markov or pleks could fit in there also but I don`t see Mtl having trouble moving either player.

Problem with Chicago is that they lack depth....so trading with them means picks only. St.Louis has alot more depth right now that they can trade a spare part.

Chicago really wants a 2nd line center. I've always though Plek would be a phenomenal fit with their team though I'm sure they'd want someone with more grit.

I know that it may be dreaming, but if we dealt with St Louis I would like to see a Chris Stewart in a Hab uniform. Don't know what the price would be but he would be the right player moving forward with the young kids, especially when Chucky plays center.

I agree 100% but what sort of return could Chicago offer?
Unless Chicago is unhappy with Bickell who is not living up to his contract so far?

Mtl needs to get younger with the next trade they make....Galchenyuk (center) as great chemistry with Gallagher(RW) so we would need a Left wing what about Tarasenko from St-Louis. Now, the question is would Pleks be enough to get that deal done or would St-Louis maybe go for a Pkg of Pleks and Markov get Tarasenko and Stewart (also a prospect).

Well, maybe he can be had at a cheaper price. He is a gritty player, tough, with decent scoring ability.

I know some have said that my comment was ridiculous but I am more convinced that we should trade Subban. There were rumors, true or not, that we could trade Subban for Mackinnon. I would do it at a drop of the hat!

His hype exceeds his value, especially the $ he will be asking. I feel that his game is average, at times a few highlights, but overall I don't see it. If he can bring us a 1st. pick with great talent, go for it!

Getting back on track, Briere remains a horrible signing, we don't need him, but he's doing better than Eller on a point per game basis. Especially recently...

I feel bad for Eller, had his line broken up to get DD going. He looks like the same Ellar we saw at the beginning searching for his identity. Briere may surprise us with his play in the last stretch and into the playoffs, still don't like the signing.

I don't think he's been horrible. Guy gets no bloody ice time and yet is producing. 2nd highest GPG average on the team over 60 minutes. Problem is that he doesn't fit in because we lack top 6 size.

I'd rather have Briere than Gio.

Really think MB needs to pull the trigger on a Chris Stewart type of player and ASAP.

I agree, Chris stewart would be the kind of player we should pick up. Like I said earlier, Briere can be a surprise as we move forward. I wonder what Gio would fetch, but MB needs to doing something soon!Very soon! We need scoring, we cant expect to have Price and Budaj win all of our games. If the DD line isnt producing it becomes a total grind to get a goal.

On a side note Willey, would you trade PK for Mackinnon?
