He would be a good pickup for any playoff bound team with the cash.

Morrow>>Booth IMO.

Is it me or is this the most intense and competitive training camp in a long, long time? There's not too many spots up for grabs and a ton a players vying for them. Our young players are in a position to crack the lineup and are vets are still in their prime. Also, Kassian looks ripped and ready to go http://canucksarmy.com/20...ith-zack-kassians-trainer

He would be an excellent signing for 800k-1m for 2 years. Eventually if he stunk he could go to Utica and be the next keane...

Ideally we could get him at Xmas time too, then he has lots of gas in the tank....

What the hell are you talking about, they're two different players. Morrow would be on our fourth line anyways, if we picked him up, which I think would be a great thing.

Not true, and we are not trading him until he gets ten games with his old Florida buddy

Geez you burned me.

Yep, they are two different players, both L wingers

Morrow 12 goals...... Booth 12 Games. Booth is much better, my bad.

I believe Morrow has stated that the teams he would be interested in signing with are currently out of cap space and he was going to let things play out and not rush to a decision.

Edit: the quote for those that are wondering

"No not yet. I'm still talking to a few teams and staying patient. Teams I'd prefer to play on are having a tough time moving cap space for me, but I'm in no hurry."

They play different styles, how does Morrow make Booth obsolete? Morrow isn't a top 6 player on the Canucks. He's a checking player. Booth is an offensive player. Take a hike. Booth is better.

Makes you wonder how much he's looking for, because there are a lot of teams with 1.5 ish or more in cap space.

I think Carolina is definitely an option now with Pitkanen on LTIR.

With the cap going down marginal older guys are the ones getting squeezed the most. They aren't going to make what they used to make in this market.

Yeah, OK, Booth is better..... Never said Morrow makes Booth obsolete, and I think a checking player who can score goals and lead a team in the room would help more than the oft injured Booth. Its just IMO. Relax Man.

Booth makes himself obsolete.

I can't imagine him staying healthy this season, it's just not in the cards for him.

Ya Morrow would be a great add. Don;t see it happening though. I'm a little skeptical of our fourth line right now.

makes you wonder what he wants. Canes have a million in cap space and when you send a player down, they'd likely get another 6-900K

1.6-1.9 million seems about right for Morrow, so why isn't it done?

Morrow is not a 4th line player yet. He's still productive.

He just came off a 4.1m contract and had a pretty decent year, including the playoffs. I assume he's looking for Boyd Gordon money at least (3m).

good luck with that. Talk to Mason Raymond about what a decent year gets you.

That Gordon deal comes with the standard 35% overpayment Oilers tax.
