Isles have been trouble for them all season... they figured out the Teams weakness...

same as that first game when we were leading 3-1 and lost 7-4.

Coincidence was that Gardiner played in both games they lost... that kid can skate but has to be one of the softest defenders in the league.. should be introduced to the pressbox again.

- DoctorNHL

Yeah I like Gardiner but man he's been awful this year.

I like that. Anything that starts with 4 is getting into silly territory. I'd probably offer him $11m/3 years

Nowhere near here.
- hscesq

Oh, I know that. I was just wondering if you've ever checked it out, when getting near Montreal.

So what do you guys think the Leafs should offer Bozak for next year?
- Atomic Wedgie

A demotion to the third line?

At least he tries to defend..Gardiner/Gretz is only looking to rush the puck and turn it over when he is as far away from the d zone as possible..

He's like Donny in 'The Big Lebowski': out of his element.

The Habs last three games is one of the worst displays of hockey I've ever seen.

Worse than last year.

They blow.

- TimBits

Hey douchebag, don't you dare come in to a Leafs thread and start gloating to us about how much the Habs suck.

The Leafs suck worse. Or harder. Something like that.

Did you see our game? Did you see the defence?

That second one was a serious question - because I didn't see any defence.

Go back to the Habs thread, little boy.

This is Loserville. You ain't ready.

I think so. His PK/faceoffs has value, and he can clearly play big minutes. That being said, I don't think he has quite the hands to be the 1C that he's being used as. Good kid though

Yeah after killing off a 5 on 3 they scored twice and then quit playing.
- TML60

What happened to the trap?

I realize it's a little harder to do these days, but Carlyle's teams still know how to shut down a game.

Not sure why they fought twice with all the momentum.

The Leafs have definitely been lackluster to say the least the past three games but I was a little pissed a the refs tonight. The leafs came out flying and aggressive and took 4 penalties in the first period that seemed to make them tentative and less aggressive. Franson's call was questionable, as was JVR's. Komorov's was brutal and led to the tying goal... Even on Fraser's call the guy stepped on his stick.... I admit the call on Hamonic was weak... but the two boarding calls took the aggressiveness out of the Leafs and its hard to generate momentum when killing penalties for half of the first period....

Carlyle 'accepting responsibility' for lack of preparation of players who are not playing 60 minutes. Obviously.

Yeah they shouldn't have fought at all in that situation. They were off to a good start and had the lead. Why fight? Just keep trying to play a solid game and get the win. It was frustrating to watch.
